I have a problem. I've installed Blightfall, but when I try to run it, a pop up message says:
"You cannot run this modpack for the following reasons:
The modpack's RAM requirement cannot be met without a 64-bit version of Java. We can't tell whether you're on a 32-bit OS or not. If your OS is 64-bit, you can fix this error by clicking here to download the latest version of Java."
The link "clicking here" in the text above doesn't do anything. And either way, I've downloaded the latest Java version and I'm very sure it's 64-bit Java. However, when I go to my Launcher Options and select Java Settings, the memory only includes 512 MB, 768 MB, and 1 GB. There is no 2 GB on the list, which is what I need to run Blightfall. I tried to find another "Minecraft Java Version", but when I open the file of the latest Java version, it says:
"The selected file is not a valid java virtual machine executable."
I was really looking forward to playing this modpack. I'm sure it is very well-developed. What do you think I'm doing wrong? And what can I do to fix it? Thank you.
If all you did was install java, it was the 32 bit.. for some stupid reason, java doesnt use java to tell you are on a 64 bit OS and automatically installs that version, you have to go into their full download list and specifically click on the 64 bit version

DarrenSpitez has already broken 3 rules 1. no tp killing 2.no spam killing 3. no spamming, could you atleast compensate my friend, or, more logically just go and ban DarrenSpitez? he not only ruins the game for us but will probably screw it up for others as well

Wish you could do a regular survival with this pack
I can't play my world anymore. It stucks at the "Loading" screen for more than an hour an just won't start. I really enjoy this modpack but I also don't want to start a new world again because I already did this a few time s when errors appears. I gave this modpack the most ram (3.5gb I think?).

Anyone got a server up for this i cant find any
Figured out the problem with the outer lands! So apparently up until 2.1.4, the nether option in server.properties was disabled. apparently with the "allow nether" disabled, it disables -all- alternate dimensions. In version 2.1.4 "allow nether" was re-enabled, and thinking it was in error, i turned it back off. The outer lands properly appears when i re-allowed the nether.

So that means a yes to going to the Nether? :)
Well actually going -to- the nether is kinda cheating the modpack, but the nether must be enabled or the intended dimensions (like outer lands) will not work.
going to the nether is totally cheating, its candy land compared to the blighted planet.
Im sure lol.. i dont understand why minecraft would be coded in a way where you cant selectively enable and disable different dimensions. What if you end up in a situation like this where you want people to go to the end but not the nether.

My Palm sapling won't grow. I've tried placing it near sand, on grass, on dirt, on soil, no luck! It's a pity, since I'm missing out on some good recipes. I haven't found a carrot yet, either.

can help with the carrot situation there is a huge redwood tree near i think its delta base it has a huge (not so friendly) village it has farms with potatoes and i think carrots for the palm tree just plant it by itself give it a 10 blockish radius from anything that could restrict its growth it should grow eventually
palms need alot of open space to spawn, as well as alot of other Harvest craft trees.

I got into the outer lands portal, but i seem to be just dropped into a black nothingness where i sit until i kill myself. Im apparently not being sent to the dungeon, is there a way to reset the portal or something?

I've used the same one and never had any problems and I was on single player when I did it. Sorry I can't help too much.
I wonder if there is a file in the server pack that may be missing or something..
seems to work just fine in single player mode. Anyone else play this on a server and having a problem?
I made a couple more portals, ive even tinkered with DIM 42.. not getting anything :/ is there another folder that contains data for this place?
My quests seem to be badly bugged after the last update i cant use the supplier more than once now as the refresh time is 999 days 99 hours 99 minutes and counting down some of my other quests simply disappeared like the alien translator and all the scouts are finished with no rewards any ideas how to fix them??
you could go in creative mode and use the cheaty quest book to reset all of the quests and then complete the ones youve already done
Well i would except some quest like alien translator are just gone no matter what i do and i dont want to restart my world because alot of effort has been made on it and last but not least its a lan world. if someone could tell me the name of the quest file attached to the user i could probably fix it.
Ive had this same thing happen by joining parties with a new person. I un-completed all of my quests which reset the quest log, and then i re-completed the quests i actually did
"Uncompleted" please elaborate and yes we have had that incident when we joined in our first world ended up scraping it and starting a new one since we were only 30 minutes in but we are about 2 weeks in now
Where do i make the eldritch eye portal? the book says "the first place i discovered the cult" ...but i dont believe ive met a cult yet.

You need to have discovered the eldritch tab in your thaumonomicon and by doing so you need to read the crimson cult book and have a LOT of warp so that you will be able to get access to the eldritch tab. Warp gives you a chance to have a revelation about dark stuff. The more warp you have, the higher the chance you will be able to unlock the tab and discover how to get access to the portal to the outerlands. It takes time so just do a lot of warp inducing research and you will eventually get your way to the portal.
I have all that, but the entry tells me i need to take 4 eyes to a very vaguely described place. "the place you first discovered the cult" ...no idea where that would be considering i havent come across a cult yet.
Not sure what the "specially marked keystone" is
Go to the floating island next to the eerie island and this will help more.
Hey guys - did anybody managed to get the Cooking Table to actually use an adjacent chest as inventory? Tried with both half / double chests and placed the table on all possible places around, under and above the chest to no avail :(

The recent update made it that you need to use a fridge for this function to work. It costs a little more materials but on the upside, you can put fridges next to each other and they will act like a combine inventory to the cooking table.
That actually makes sense - thanks a bunch, will be trying it right away. I was watching a let's play series and saw it working with the chest next to it but probably it was using the older version.
I can't play it. I tried to reinstall it but it said that it's missing baubles. Please help

Im trying to get pech to spawn, im roaming around eerie island and the magical forest and i have cursed earth spawning farms on both areas, its been about 3 hours and i havent seen a single one. Am i doing something wrong?
