Do parties only work in LANs?
They work in singleplayer but there is no use for them there.
Sorry that didn't answer your question, they in all versions of minecraft are only useful in multiplayer.
i hate the quest mak the copper pic it is soo hard to find copper and im looking at the right y level!!

you can skip it, find a darkwood tree or prometheum pick
You can also research metal transmutation and this will allow you to get copper from any other type of metal. It will be under the alchemy tab in your thaumonomicon.
I'm doing some controlled node bullying and this particular node has so many aspects that the HUD text for it has become so long that I cant see the amounts hovering over the node. This wouldnt be a problem if the hud text told me the values (it does in single player), but on my server, they always say 0. Anyone know how to either get it to show the correct values or not show me this long list of text?

Go to your controls menu and look up what key it is that displays the WAILA config. Once in there you can adjust the configuration to not display Thaumcraft things. I don't know if it works specifically for the nodes but you can disable the WAILA thing over all.

So for some reason, recently whenever i hit the R button, even when typing in the NEI, my inventory sorts, and for some reason, my greater band of mana gets put on my cursor every time. This has caused me to accidentally throw it or lose it several times. It is persisting over 2 computers, and ive rebooted my server twice already.

Doesnt seem to be happening in single player mode. Im not sure what to tweak
that is the inventory sort, you should be able to change the key binding through the controls, if not through the NEI options I think, I've done it before
There has to be something getting stuck, the issue comes and goes. Its also part of the issue where sorting doesnt stick, and items jump around in the inventory and turn invisible. I hit sort, and i pick up my staff, the items jump around and i actually pick up dirt because the sort didnt actually sort, it just showed me it did.
I think something is busted in the inventory tweaks mod since vs 2.1.4. its been nothing but problems since then
Sounds to me like some lag. I got this sometimes on Singleplayer but eventually it went away.
So i think that band of mana was bugged, i finally got mad and just threw it away and the problem stopped.
when i play the mod pack and i join my survival world and u all know what u do right click the man or girl and something sould come up on ur screan well nothing happens for me even the pods dont work i need help some1 plz help ??

you might be experiencing extreme lag, it sometimes happens when you make a new world and are present on the ship when it does a world scan. if you can allocate more ram throught the technic launcher I would try that...

This modpack is GREAT I just wish it had Flan's Mod in it to make it seem more like a military operation.

Is it worth using mind essentia on the dawn machine? It seems to use 1 point every time the machine picks a piece of land that is already clean.. By the time the cleaning is almost done, the machine drinks an entire jar of mind essentia is 10 seconds.

Yes it is worth it. The cognitio prevents the machine from cleaning already cleaned areas which, over all, saves on other essentia.
Is it really saving essentia though? to completely clean a 128x128 block of land takes 3-4 jars cognito. It doesnt use much near the beginning of the cleaning because the chance of attempting to clean an already clean spot is very low, but when the cleaning is mostly done, the chance of attempting to clean an already clean spot is extremely high, and it takes essentia every time it attempts to clean a clean spot, essentially guzzling mind essentia. It seems silly to me to use 4 jars of mind to save a half a jar of air (I dont use order since it im not willing to give up 1 steel per order)
Well if you decide to keep using cognitio, then I recommend using paper to fuel it. All you need is a large sugar cane farm, which shouldn't be too hard to make, and you make that into paper then you have a crap ton of cognitio. If you decide not to use it anymore that works too. Good luck, though!

Does anyone else find that the Archimedes Ships cause a crash to desktop occasionally when you click on the helm? I have two Dawn Machines, each on it's own airship, and I spend more time reloading the game than combating the taint.

I dont think i have that issue, but the dawn machine is pretty buggy. the chunk loading feature doesnt work either

First I would like to say that this is one of the best modpack/adventure map I have ever played! I love it.
But I also have a problem...
Yesterday (29-9-15) I was playing blightfall during the day, before shutting down to go home. Only when I tried to start the pack again when I got home, I suddenly couldn't. I get all the way to the minecraft titlescreen but when I click my save file and press play, it starts loading before returning to the title screen like nothing happend. I tried to create a new game but it has the same problem. Does anyone know what the problem is? Hexxit and Tekkit work fine.

I've played a few adventure mods before, but I have to say this was engaging, and a darn good time. I haven't cleared out all the blight, but I can easy enough. I've gone... Infinite so to speak, so now it's just the task of it.
So my kudos to everyone who made this pack possible. I noted you even customized some of the mods, tweaking some of the default mechanics (hello blood magic transposers).
For the uninitiated to minecraft it may be brutal, but for the long time players, this is a great breath of fresh (tainted) air.
I played on a server as a team, and so I tended the base while they risked their butts, and rampaged the landscape. I do think the server should point out, or give an option for perma death. The server version I installed gave you all your items upon death, and you only lost 10 rep or something like that.
In addition healing no matter what level of hunger isn't terrible, but made some things feel not quite as deadly as they could be.
The 10 rep is... meh, and keeping all your items allows for FAR more risk then you should take in a game like this. I would suggest 3 modes, on the server. Maybe some questions would you run the start.sh/bat. That ask you... Do you want hardcore? Do you want 2 lives, or 5, or 10. Something to scale it and make it simple adjust the difficulty.
Overall 9.5/10!

Yea it used to be much more hard core, I personally liked it and was thinking of what mods to add or items to disable to make a hard core version. no more suicide dives into places to grab some treasure, then you get killed and ported back to base.

i got to the tutorial where i need to make the blank patterns, the tutorial tell me to search the item to see it's recipe, but there is no search bar in the inventory menu.
is this a bug or is the inventory menu not the normal one (the one you open with E)?

you probably turned off the NEI search bar, i think its turned on and off with O, if not check the keybindings in the setting
Hi can somebody please help me i want to start A blightfall server i have had a minecraft bukkit and tekkit server in the pase (still have the files) but it loads up then when its finished instantly unloads plz help

For some reason i have permanent nausea that persists after milk, and is not part of thaumcraft so idk?
This new update really stinks everytime I press something it freezes and I have to wait about 20 seconds for it to unfreezes

things have gotten a bit buggy with me since the update as well. mostly with the inventory management mod, things sorting on their own, or refusing to sort. items returning to my inventory invisible, etc
