Just start a new map and don't touch anything, it should put you right in the game on the map for it.
Can't seem to download this pack - keeps getting stuck on downloading extra-tic :(
Any ideas?

it wont let me install i am losing patients here >_> i really want to freaking play it
Ive been scrolling through most of the posts here, but have yet to see my particular problem with playing this modpack. That being that the Blightfall saved map seems to be stuck on the loading world screen. everything went swimmingly up until that point. Any ideas?

Hmm. okay. apparently the provided saved map is having the problem, but creating a new world is working and loaded up fine.
Good Work on the modpack 10/10 Will play again

Short question, short answer: yes!
No, and it appears to not even be remotely possible...Cauldron is too far removed from forge at this point and this pack uses far too many mods that are pretty duct tapey.
@SERALTH sorry to tell you that this is wrong, we are running 5 Blightfall servers based on Cauldron, so yes it is working, but you need lot's of experience to keep it running.
@FLATRONEZ Can you send me a Blightfall Server in a .zip Directory?
@FlatronEZ just a quick check what version of cauldron/java you guys sporting? I did speak a bit early, the biggest culprit was perfect spawn witch causes injection issues on my windows based boxs but i can get it to inject with it fine on a older linux box.
Is the dawn machine final taint cleaning solution? Because it's range isn't *that* big and i cant imagine cleaning the whole world with just that.
For some reason the areas i already cleaned become tainted again in some places, and there aren't any tainted nodes and it was cleaned properly.

as near as I can tell the dawn machine is the endgame taint cleanser. that being said, yes, it does take a lot of work to clean the world. I have my machine mounted on a ship that I fly around, park it for a time, let it sweep the area, then move it along to the next spot. with a full load of Essentia, it will clean approximately a 120x120 square in fairly short time, but the exact time fluctuates pretty wildly. Ive had it take a few minutes to do the full square, and upwards of an hour. the full map runs from 0,0 to 1800,2100 or so,so you're looking at in a perfect world, 300 or so cleanings. (I've found the actual area of cleaned world is slightly shorter top to bottom than side to side, not sure why.)

I discovered through enabling edit mode of hqm that the invisibility potions requested by the Paranormalist are supposed to be potions of *extended* invisibility. I was wondering why he wouldn't take my regular potions! It would be nice if this were made explicitly clear in the quest.
some wone help my i have 8 gb ram and 200 gb memory on my pc but on the launcher i cant put more than 1 gb and i realy want to play this modpack pls help my some wone

You have 32 bit java installed. Due to the limitation in 32 bit OS's they can only address 4 gigs of ram so java cant use more then that. and since 2 gigs is typically on reserve for the OS java can only ever use 2. Uninstall all java's you have though add remove and install java 64 bit. That should fix it.

You plant the blooms, use the purity wand focus or se the "Dawn Machine" to clear areas. You can research the dawn machine in the Thumnomicon I think under artifacts.

I can't play this modpack, it says I have only 1 GB RAM available when I have 4 gigs of ram... Any help?

Go to launcher, click on launcher options (upper right), go to tab "Java options", make a choice in the ram field
I solved it a minute ago but it's taking so long to load right now... It won't let me go past 1 GB...
And it just closed for no reason...
And now I can use 3.5 GB ram, WHAT'S GOING ON COMPUTER???
I've managed to find the Eerie Island, and I discovered a Warded Door. Nearby, a Tainted Thaumaturge engaged me in a magic duel (the Shock wand focus is so OP, even if it only does scratch damage). I suspected this Thaumaturge may have had the key to the Warded Door, so I made it my goal to take his head. In the fight, I knocked him back to the nearby ocean, and that is where he died. At night, in the deep end. All of his drops are lost, and I don't even know what they were. My question is, did this Tainted Thaumaturge actually have the key to begin with, or is it still out there?
No, you have to do some research to be able to unlock/lock those arcane doors. Just mine the obsidian blocks next to the door to get in.
Thanks, that's all I needed to know. I can definitely get in around the door by mining through the wall, but that's no fun, is it? I'll start looking in my Thamonomicon right away.

Hello minecraftians. I am interested in playing BlightFall with anybody. Unfortunately I do not know how to start a server, but I do have hamatchi, Skype or TS3 and am willing to download anything that is obviously safe and will make a server being created, possible. I am young, but no annoying (or so I think) so If you are interested you can simple reply to this. If not, have a lovely day.
If interested, I do want to try playing the harder levels so anything that is harder than the first two will be good, but I think it would be fun to try the ocean one.
I'm having problems with the blightfall server also.. idk what's going on..it keeps stopping at startup..

Hello Mr.MilkMan. I've been wanting to do a private server for days now with people. I would love to play with you and anyone else on your server if you are fine with that.
When I try to run this modpack, it says I'm using 1 GB of RAM, and that it requires 2 GB. However, this computer has 8 GB of RAM, so I don't understand why it isn't working. Help?

Having the same problem on my end, any help here?
I have a 64bit OS but I'm using a 32bit Java.
I figured out the problem, you need to figure out if your computer is 32 bit or 64 bit. Then go to https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download the 64 bit one.
OK, extra step here. When you're done installing the 64 bit, you need to direct Tekkit to the folder, if you just breezed through the download it's usually located in C:\Program Files\Java\bin\javaw.exe

You can build your own. There is also one under the glacier.
It is guarded though so watch out.
I think we need to make a bunch of guides for ignorant fools such as myself. Just some basic guides, like how deal with the food efficiency problem, or how to get ores. Simple player-made guides to help people along.
I agree. I really don't have much trouble getting into the Tech trees of Blightfall, but once the game starts needing me to be a Thaumaturge... Yeah, I get lost. I've actually been working on making a guide for Blightfall. It will contain huge spoilers since in order to tell you everything you need to know you would get the story as well.
hey I would love if you added aroma backup because I always make mistakes and have to use backups. But sometimes I'm too lazy to make a backups. thanks.

In my game, all the scout locations I discovered vanished and now I have to start over. The only thing I did between uses of the transport beacon was making golems and using them to farm. What can I do to get back the scout locations beside running all over the place again?
