Well, this happened before and the pack worked fine but this time it isn't, did it maybe just overheat? OK so here's the story I had left my computer on with the game at the pause menu (there was one tab of youtube in the background which was currently paused). After coming back both of my screens were solid white/gray and the computer would not shut down normally or respond to any input by the keyboard or mouse. So, I hit the restart button on my computer and started windows normally. Until I tried booting up a world in Blightfall (the pack that was on pause before I left it alone earlier). When I try to do this it will say it's loading world for a second, and then bring me back to the title screen. I spent a LONG time working on this pack solo and I don't want to lose it now. Please help.

Note I already tried shutting down and booting my computer back up normally.
Quick Update: going into Snooper Setting from the title screen also crashes the game.
I used to play Blightfall on 2 GB of ram, perfectly no issues, no lag, no nothing, but then, when I try to open it, it sure loads the game and the mods and then closes. That's it. I try to do it with 2.5 GB and it does the same. Any help?
For anyone having problems running a server and when you run "start.bat" it ends with a message along the lines of "press any key to close" instead of running like normal you may want to rename "start.bat" and "start.sh" to "run.bat" and "run.sh" That fixed the problem for me, and hopefully will be helpful for you guys aswell.

I am interested in updating Blightfall, is this a dead project? I see no updates in over 2 years

I'm pretty sure it's a dead project, Tank.
I'd love to eventually see a Blightfall update or even a spiritual successor for 1.12.2, as most of the mods, if not all of them, are ready for 1.12.2. Thaumcraft may be dead now, but the rest are most certainly ready.
I am trying to download the modpack but it always freeze when it tries to download "blightfall-saves-v2.1.0"
Whenever I try to start the game it tells me I need a 64 bit java, even though I do. So, I try to click on the fix the error thing, but it doesn't let me click on the link.

If you don't have Java when you install Minecraft it will normally make you download the 32bit one. Download this one instead (It worked for me):

When I try to start the game it freezes at Installing Minecraft Assets. I have 16GB of Ram and a excellent GPU. Why would it be doing this? Btw, I am on a ASUS ROG Strix GL553VE-DS74 if that helps any.

There are plenty around various scouting areas, they tend to be near ethereal blooms
Does anyone have a server running for this mod pack? If not should I try and make one...

The map is relatively small, and with a large number of players can easily be cleaned very quickly, so servers do not exist. There are, however, servers which use the modpack in survival, but it's not traditional Blightfall. You should play it yourself, it's so good!
Add optifine to modpack please

Optifine isn't allowed in modpacks, you can easily add it yourself, however.
Update: its not the 'Z' key, its every key.
I can't play! I beginning a new World, press 'Z' for Map Info and the game are crash... bad MP.
The MP isn't bad, the problem lies with your PC. Assign 4gb RAM (no more, no less) and turn video settings down, it is a very resource intensive modpack which many sub-par computers will find difficult to run.
Is there a problem with Botania Lexica I put a sapling and book but no lexica appears.

No, your not suppose to craft it that way. Your suppose to find it, then translate it using the quest item. After you do this once, you can craft that copy of the book with a book for two copies.

If you are on the same wifi, click open to lan. The world will appear as a server on your brother's pc
I only have 2 lives when I started the game. How can I add 1 more to have 3?

You shouldn't have any lives. The game works on a reputation system, taking 10 point per death. Update to the latest version, and don't forget to back up your saves. Good luck!
its says there is a missing file when i try to install it. Why?
No TreeCapitator?
I'll give it a try, but anything without that mod is normally not worth it.
If a package author does not use TreeCapitator he is never playing hardcore, I bet he just switches a lot to "Creative" to get all the stuff he needs. :-(

Just create a Tinker's Construct lumberaxe, it will chop the entire tree with one swing (and it's faster). You need a tool forge to get it though. You can find a tool forge in a treehouse on the coast nearest to biodome omega. Good luck!
