Slight issue with crafting spikes: cannot craft the vanilla swords!
Other than that, the update for 2.1.1A is great!! Fixed the issue of not having the smeltery book.
And is there any way to enable/add the mod where it tells you what you picked up? Super helpful for if I pick up any tainted items!
Your not supposed to make vanilla tools, you supposed to make tinkers' construct tools instead.
...but if you need iron swords for crafting reasons (say, for iron spikes) you can get them from the supplier.
I cannot find it on the launcher how do i get it?

Can I make a request to add in a few more Thaumcraft addons? For the sake of thematics, and the fact that a few of them bug out when one tries to run them in a pre-existing world.

How do I make a Necronomicon?
Thaumonomicon (or however it's spelled) is made by making an iron capped wand, then making a bookshelf. Place the bookshelf in the world and right click it while holding the wand and POOF!
Keep in mind you can make a book with 3 paper, 2 blank patterns and a piece of string.
(you can get string from cotton)

You can't. You get Netherrack and the Nether ores from a floating island in the top right of the map.
He means the TOP LEFT of the map. The top right is the icy island. :)
how do i have more ram for my technic launcher, everytime i download the java that its telling me to download. My technic launcher only works one time and then if i try closing it and opening it back it doesnt work. please help

Every time I submit 2 Ourclase blocks for the black market quest of "Dregs of Oureclase", it just takes my blocks and will not allow me to claim the reward.

Right now you can't make it. It was just added with the patch and a few things changed, like he took the diamonds out of the recipe and well...I think it bugged out. I'm sure he'll fix it soon. He's pretty good on it.
If you're on single player, open the world to LAN and enable cheats, then change your game mode to creative and give yourself the level 2 cooking for blockheads book, then change back to survival mode. If you're on a server, contact the admin and let them know the recipe is bugged and that there's no other way to complete that quest, they should be reasonable and give you the book. BTW the cooking station (or whatever it's called) is amazing, you just dump all your food into chests next to it, and it automatically figures out what foods you can cook. Makes the hunger system less annoying. Just be sure to make all the cooking utensils too, and put them in the chests as well (skillet, mixing bowl, etc).
Maybe a stupid question but how do you get Glowstone dust? :)

If you look around the world, there are a few places with glowstone blocks. You'll just have to keep looking unfortunately.
go to the spires, there are a few floating islands that have glowstone on them.
They generate as ore veins in the floating islands. And there is no nether. ;)
I had a server just for me and a couple friends using Logmein Hamachi on Blightfall 2.1.0 but when the update came out (I didn't even update my client or server) my server started saying that it was in an incorrect state when I tried to launch it and closing without an error report. I put the world in my saves folder and tried to open it in single player and it brought me back to the title screen after trying to load it. I tried replacing the files from the 2.1.0 server zip and the same thing happened with that world and when I tried it with the world that it comes with, my Minecraft crashed when I tried to log in (the server and my client said that I had logged in but that the connection had been forcibly terminated). I even tried updating both my server and client but the exact same things happened. Has anyone else had the same problem and can someone please help?

Pardon my ignorance, but where do I find white mystic flowers/petals? Because I've been able to do nothing with the lexica botanica.

Throw a mystical flower into your crafting grid.
That gets me a not white petal. I need the white ones to make a pure daisy

I recently switched from playing on my laptop to playing on my desktop and as soon as I logged in a noticed that I couldn't view my quest book. I tried using a different one, checking the key bindings, giving myself a brand new one via creative mode and nothing seems to work. It should be noted that I am playing on an Apex server, however, I hadn't updated yet and it still wasn't working. I tried installing the newest version and it still doesn't work. Please help!

Okay okay, a Noob Question: how do I grind the barley into flour? It's different than I remember in Hexxit.

you make a mortar and pestle with a stick of any kind, a cobble type of block below and to the left and right of it. you then combine the wheat/barley with the mortar and pestle to me flour.
My game keeps crashing when I load my world. I am on the jaded exiting the scanning room.

Optifine is a client-side mod. It cannot be added into a modpack, but you can download and add it yourself relatively easily. Please stop asking now.

Loving the pack so far! Couple of problems though.
1. Cooking for Blockheads 2 requires itself in order to be crafted.
2. Do you think you could update the forge used in the pack by just a few versions. Was hoping to add in some TC addons for my single player, and I cant for the life of me find the right directory to update the pack myself.

Cooking for Blockheads issue is now fixed. And sorry about the forge version, but I can't increase it. Some of the older mods rely on the older version of forge.
Does anyone understand the cooking for blockheads mod. i need to make a cooking table and it says to use a "cooking for blockheads 2 (book)" but when i look at how to craft the book it says to use the book i need to craft with a crafting table.... it makes no since, how do i craft the book mentioned above.

That is fixed.
This modpack is such a dissapointment. You wait, you try to play, and it tells you "you cannot play this with 32 bit OS" . You need to warn players, something like "DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS IF YOU HAVE 32 BIT OS". Hope you understand, how i feel...
