how do you set it to to 2 gb of ram i cant because i cant play it someone pls tell me i waited hours for this to come out so pls tell me

you cant set up to 2gb. u need a better PC. it means ur pc sucks.
You have to have 64 bit Java to be able to set it to 2GB.
If your computer has more than 2Gb of ram, you can allocate more to the technic launcher. Go to launcher settings and then java settings. There will be a drop down labeled 'memory'. Set that to whatever your computer can handle.
Does it have a public server yet?

If you turn around from the entrance to the drop pod room and look in the door to the left, he is in that room. It should be labeled "Situation Room"

Is anyone else having a problem with the game crashing every time they try to open their inventory?

i'm not but have you tried restarting the game and launcher
I tried but it didn't work, every time I try to open my inventory the game freezes for a second and then crashes back to the technic launcher.
read a crash code. maybe ur pc cant handle whats inside. like... thaumcraft
The crash report is (to me) gibberish.
i cant wait for this server im dieing here D:

no its not. there is almoust 3 weeks of summer.
For me school starts tomorrow.
To me summer ends when schools begins
PSA: If the pack crashes when you try to launch it, you need to change your dedicated RAM to at least 2GB in the launcher settings. If it does not let you go over 1GB, you need to install 64 Bit java, available here: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
If the pack lags like crazy when you try to play, quit the pack and install at least Fastcraft. You can also install Optifine and BetterFPS (Not FPSPlus+) for better results.

People are being to impatient. My internet is slow and I usually end up waiting about an hour for mod packs, a lot of the times more. Just slow down and wait a bit for it to finish.
That won't work because the requirement is 2 GB.
you should be able to figure out that that's not at all what I meant. -_-
How do you change to 2 GB of memory from 1 GB of memory.

I am having an issue downloading the pack. Most files seem to download fine except for: extra-tic-v1.4.5.zip it will hang at 7% for a few minutes then it just shows the "Install" button again. I have tried this about 5 times now. Any ideas?
