Heya, just downloaded this pack and got a server running. Whenever I try and connect, I only connect for a splitsecond before I am greeted with "A fatal error has occured, this connection is terminated." Not sure if its a problem with the pack, the server, or something on my end. Other people can connect, and some others cannot, it's strange. Hoping to figure out the source of the problem soon so I can play with friends.
Answered my own question, about an hour after I posted this yesterday, I just reinstalled the pack and it was all good. Thanks for making a great pack Talonos!
My blightfall keeps crashing. When i load it from the launcher it goes straight back to the launcher page. Can someone help me?

i have no clue what the server file is for but me and my brother want to play on the same server but i hsve no clue how to make or play on private serverif u have any idea of whatim talking aboult plz help me i any way

you can use bread to make the npc wand. you might want to fix this because people can get diamonds and stuff and create their own crafting recipes to make dirt make precious metals and stuff.
Thanks for the heads up. Looks like CustomNPCs is adding their recipes *after* MineTweaker does it's thing. Typing /mt reload fixes the issue, but if it works *re*loading the scripts, it *should* work all the time. Dunno why it doesn't. Investigating...
Also... Does our quests reset if you dont play for a few days or the server shuts down? I'm having to start over from scratch.

It resets if the server shuts down while you are in a party. It's a bug in HQM that the author of HQM doesn't think is important enough to fix. We might have a workaround. If so, we'll probably release it either Tuesday or Wednesday.
So I can simply copy the 'world' folder over to the updated server and all will be happy?

Should be, yeah. The only caveat: You must delete the "HardcoreQuest" folder from your world.

Not going to happen. It turns out if commands are enabled, then the minimap mod displays a "Teleport" button next to every waypoint in the waypoint menu. It was confusing players and making them thing teleportation was part of the modpack. Telenos or someone, when I try starting my server, everything is a purple and black mess, some of the blocks changed into others, and nothing really works! I know the mods didnt load correctly, but im not sure how to fix it. Please help

You must be double-clicking the forge server jar. Instead, try running start.bat!
I'm still having issues with the server, not sure if download is wrong, wrong programs I'm using, java issues, or I'm just being plain stupid. Does anyone know of a tutorial of how to set up the server or how to set up a modded server.

Create a new world. As of 2.0.3, we have lockdown. :)
When i start the server with "start.bat" it says "Error: Unable to acces "Blightfall.jar"
I haven't modified anything with the folder, can you please tell me how to fix it?

OK anyway, I fixed it by unpacking the zip file to a folder :D Btw, great pack! I will play a lot on it with my friends :P
I feel like this modpack is lacking in the magic department, maybe witchery and ars magica 2 will help? (This is a recommendation)

Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately, I've already ruled those ones out. Witchery has too much PvP associated with it. It would send the wrong message to the players on opposing teams. Ars Magica has a drastically different power curve; when you get far enough in Ars Magica, it totally overpowers everything else. Instead, I will add Botania and more Thaumcraft addons (Automagy, etc) to increase the magic. Don't forget about Blood magic, too! (It's kinda hidden. Do some scouting quests to unlock it!)
What is the easiest way to migrate a server to the new version? Can I install the new server and just drag a copy of the world file over?

You need to move the entire world folder, and *then* delete the HardcoreQuest folder from inside of it. It'll revert quest progress, but other than that, yes, it will work. :)
Sorry for so many posts it seems my internet lagged out and I pushed it multiple times, sorry again.

It's okay. I reported them all. Hopefully a mod will show up to delete them. I wish I could mod my own page. :/
