On my younger brothers computer we are having a strange glitch that when doing pretty much anything accept moving it crashes and quits to the launcher... Any suggestions?

I also forgot to mention that we're playing on lan.
my inventory menu is very tiny visually, how do I enlarge it to normal minecraft size? I need a magnifying glass to read what I have in it and what armor I have on...

Where in the configs can I reduce the number of insects spawning? My village has an annoying cricket infestation...

Lol just downloaded today because of how great the pack works. My computer almost shat itself trying to connect to the server..... (pretty fun though great pack) so ya server is down....
