Install The Nostalgia Project

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (The Nostalgia Project) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select The Nostalgia Project from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

This modpack focuses on taking elements of old-school Minecraft Java Edition and bringing them back. Feel free to install this modpack and mess around with the settings to see what suits best your nostalgic preferences. This is something I want to make clear; if you're interested in trying out this modpack, then please install it on MultiMC. Because there is a certain bug that causes the game to crash when clicking on the "Global Mod Settings" button (the thing that allows you to access the settings for customizing the game to your old-school likings) when running it on the Technic launcher. From my testing, I haven't found a way to fix this issue, all I know is that it doesn't occur on MultiMC for whatever reason. After all of this you might be wondering: "If this modpack doesn't work correctly on the Technic launcher, but it does on MultiMC, then why host this modpack on the Technic platform to begin with?" Then my answer to that question is for preservation. I don't want this thing to become lost media and get forgotten, but at the same time I wanted to make it more accessible for future generations. So I decided to host this artifact from the early 2010's on the Technic platform so new people can get to experience it for the first time.
