I got a problem; the pack keeps crashing constantly. I think I have a computer good enough to handle 200+ mods (it runs smoothly), but every once and then it crashes (or just exits the world). Now it crashes every time I enter my world. Here is the crash report download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/d743w0l9fyd5qqn/crash-2016-04-30_09.18.10-server.txt
Could you please help me?
Thanks
I did search for the problem online, but without success.
Go to the HELP section to get help.
Someone asked if the 1.7.10 pack will stay in 1.7. Obviously it will, but that got me thinking, is there ever going to be a 1.8.0 pack?
Ive been watching TrueMu play this modpack so i tried to download it by when i went to the link this is what it said
{"status":401,"error":"Request Unauthorized"}
You need to download it through the Technic Launcher...
I'm a big fan of what you've done here. This modpack combines all of the best parts of many different modpacks in a way that's really fun. Flan's weapons is a mod that I felt was missing from a lot of major modpacks, and I'm very glad that it is available. It's hard to find mods like AE2, Twilight Forest, Flan's, Galacticraft all in the same pack. The selection really turns the pack into something fun. It has the potential to be a modpack where, indeed, ANYTHING is possible.
I believe the one thing that will make this the perfect modpack is the addition of ExtraTiC. I read your stance on the mod on your github and wanted to say that it would fit the modpack. ExtraTiC isn't just a metallurgy mod; it also lets many different tools get the Tinker's treatment. Ruby, Sapphire, and Peridot tinker's tools are great for the early game, and enderium tools are still very difficult and time consuming to get. Not only that, but it gives a reason to keep producing high-cost materials like enderium instead of only creating them for some machines and jetpacks. Materials from other dimensions, like Steelleaf from the Twilight Forest, are already obsolete by the time one can get to the dimension. ExtraTiC breathes new life into these materials by giving them the capacity to become Tinker's tools. ExtraTiC just expands the versatility of materials that can already make tools.
I really hope you consider my stance and add ExtraTiC. I really think it would add a new level of creativity and fun to your modpack. If you decide not to add it, my only wish that you can guide me to resources that will help me develop the skills to add it in myself. Thank you.
there is a duplication glitch that my friend found and he what tell me so can u fine and remove it plz
he might be lying and just going into creative
because most people think duping isn't cheating

So you are asking of The *1.7.10* Pack will stay at 1.7.10?
Was wandering if there are any servers for this in australia or at least close to it, all dem servers be in the US, cant enjoy it with that much lag.
Well Australia *is* extreme, so.

What causing me to forcibly closed by host when I try to chat in game in single player and multiplayer?
If you have installed KCauldron you should remove ColorChat from server-side.
Firstly, the obligatory "This is the best modpack i've ever played or come across, I've been playing it since 0.5 I think. (just a guess, but it was definitely way before pre-0.7)." Secondly, a lot of people are requesting "Vein Miner" and "Archimedes Ships" (by which I mean the few comments I saw were nearly all requesting it) and I don't know if you plan on adding them, but if not, I support your decision. They both make the game just a little too easy. I'm not one for major difficulty, (gregTech isn't fun for me at all), but there's a certain amount of work that makes starting a new world exciting. Tinkers' Construct tackles this perfectly, as it gives you some major functionality right off, but it requires materials, and much better tools are available later. The above mods give you access to the top functionality nearly right off, and it takes away from new worlds. If you were to add Vein Miner and have it turned off by default (in the configs), that wouldn't cause this problem, and people could activate it if they so choose. Archimedes ships is much too buggy (or it was when I last used it, which was a while ago) and It just seems unnecessarily taxing on the system, to create an entity like that (I assume that's how it manages to break blocks out of the grid system). Adding it wouldn't add enough to make up for the hassle.
TL;DR: Vein Miner is iffy, but I really don't like archimedes ships personally.
Whatever direction you go in, I won't complain. You've created an absolutely amazing modpack and managed it flawlessly (loved the April Fools joke btw, as well as the update consistency). This modpack is yours, and yours to do what you please with it. It is, in a word, a work of art to take so many contrasting styles and subjects of code and make them work so seamlessly. your artistic vision steers, and the rest of us are just along for the ride.
If you read this entire post I'm quite impressed, it was probably very random and tangential at times, but hopefully i got my thanks across.
well i read it all :) and i agree. i very much enjoy the challenge of starting a new map and the progressive development to better items - there definitely needs to be a challenge at the start of the game - it feels more satisfying. but the option to toggle it on or off would make it acceptable. i do however really like the concept of archimedes ships as i enjoy island seeds and exploring the oceans. the only issue is that i have found it to be too buggy even when trying it alone on a vanilla version of minecraft. so much prefer it to be left out if it causes any instabilities. given the great many bugs i have found in Tekkit, it is refreshing to experience such a stable modpack brimming with features.
Thank you very much IgnitionSwitch, I really enjoyed reading your comment. Happy to see there are also some old players that kept playing for over a year. And about the mods, I can just tell you to not worry about it. :)
all i can say is wow. amazing work. i have been running tekkit for some time now and have been frustrated at the slow development. i am sick of 1.6.4 (been playing it for years) and for some time tried to put my own 1.7 version together. then i saw this pack - installed it and was blown away. performance is so much better and there is just a tonne more stuff to do and experience. you have given me a whole new level of anticipation to start up a new map and settle into MC again.
thank you so much. and the sphax texture pack just tops it off!
:)
don't mean to be rude but have you been living under a rock 1.7 mod packs have been out for the pasted 2-3 years
*1.5 years at max
fair point.
tbh i didnt think there were any other modpacks of the caliber of tekkit that included all of the mods i really enjoyed playing - so i wasnt really looking. i only happened across this one by accident.
mind you with a 2yr old son you could say i was living under a rock for the last couple of years!
plz add vein miner and superheros untimely :)
add ars magica plz :)
can you add Archemades Ships plz? :D
