Hi, I really enjoy your modpack and would like to buy a hosted server so I can play with friends. How much RAM do you think I should allocate/buy if I were to play on a server with 5 people?

just don't load the server package ... we use the standard settings... and it fits for up to 10 ppl

Pack wont launch, was working yesterday. Not it does not load and give you an error saying "An error was raised while attempting to read pack info for modpack the-1710-pack, build 0.7.7b: Read timed out"
Same for a friend of mine.
Any ideas ?

When I try to play it, it loads, the launcher disappears but the launcher reappears and the game doesn't load. Why doesn't it work?

You need Java 7/8 and 64 bit.
The pack still doesn't load! Does the same thing. What should I do now?
You need to uninstall the old Java. Anyway go to the "HELP" section to get help.

Does the server need to be 64 bit, or just the clients?

Why not 0.7.7b? You should. It has some bug fixes that 0.7.6c don't have.
Hi, do you think you could add some sort of transmutation mod to this pack? It would make it pretty much perfect. I was thinking ProjectE, but then my friend told me EE3 is supposedly adding a way of transmutation into a new version. I would have told you to update EE3, if you had it in this pack. Anyways, it would be awesome if you could add some mod of that sort, thanks, bye.

I believe it would be fun, but there is just to much lag for it to be enjoyable :/ Sorry :(
Sounds like you need a better computer, mine runs at around 40 FPS. Which is above average frame-rate.
Try installing Optifine, and googling how to set up those JVM Java arguments, it helped me. Also i took out Mystcraft out of my install coz of the lag it gave me.

How do you create a server. I showed this modpack to my friend and he wanted to play. Does a LAN world work or can you give me steps to make a server?
If you open it to LAN, than if you and your friend are on the same Wi-Fi network, then LAN should work, I see no reason for it not to.
