Play an earlier version of the pack then, the newer ones are not recommended.

Running the latest build, not the recommended build, change it in your Technic launcher :)
There's not a huge amount of plugins currently, but the basics are there (shops etc. will be out soon).
There's no banned items by the way.

dont use cauldron it doesnt work....thats your problem I am playing on a server with 128gbs of ram and we can just now run the game with no time outs and stuff we also are running our own dedicated server anything less and a xeon e5 cpu this mudpack will not work on it.
Cauldron really does work, we've had no issues and are running with 12GB RAM. If you're having issues with 128GB RAM then you've got some serious host issues.
kcauldron did good for me on a new world, but when I transferred an existing (End Game World), it started to give issues. I will give kcauldron another shot, but we were getting random timeouts.

Help me Satanic please. I can't join your server now. It says "Timed out" and I tried so many things. I tried re-installing the pack, I restarted my computer, I tried direct connect, I tried restarting my Wi-Fi. Its only your server because I can get on other ones. Idk what else to try and I need help to get on your server.
Hey Satanic, I'm having issues connecting to your server. When I traveled to the Twilight Forest it crashed my game, and now it says "Timed Out" every time I try to login. Even when I restarted my PC, there was no change. Help please?
who thinks the midpack owner should just ad optifine instead of recommending that we install it? also who thinks this pack needs minechem?

The author puts a lot of effort into this pack oh and asks for nothing but a donation if you can. What do you do ....BITCH about something.... try saying TY instead of being a bitch ass keyboard warrior complaining about shit...you want to add optifine to an already good working pack... go do it your dam self and STFU

The reason why no good modpack author puts optifine in their pack is because it only works well for certain users. Optifine can actually make it worse for some setups.
The creator of Optifine doesn't allow it to be in public modpacks :(

If you're having a hard time running the game you should install Optifine.
i found getting plugins to work with this modpack a pain still stuck on that side turned server off till i can finaly fix that problem (cauldron never seems to like me theas days)
Isnt cauldron broken and usuable due to Monjang being butthurt and DMCAing them.

I'm making a public server for this modpack currently. I will anounce the IP here when it is complete (hopefully today/tomorrow!)
Plugins are working. Creating the spawn/shop/groups etc now.

Right now, Sponge is for 1.8. There's an experimental build for 1.7.10, but I doubt you will get far with it. They are focusing on 1.8 then release for 1.7 after.
If you want to do plugins, you can use Cauldron, but you will need to remove FastCraft and colorchat from the server mods. These aren't required to connect with the pack, but Cauldron will give you issues with timeouts.
About an hour into using Sponge I was getting issues while testing mods with the dev build, changed to KCauldron as it's compiled for the same Forge version as the latest update of the modpack (v0.7.7a). Also FastCraft is a server side plugin, it just has a bug currently that means it doesn't work server side.

This modpack is the best I have ever played.
I agree. I use to play "Yogscast Complete Pack" (on the ATLauncher) and I found out that the modpack was dead, so I found this one.
