Tips for CS:GO players Version 1.0

Almost every CS:GO fan has seen professional tournaments at least once in their life, and if not, ask progamestars for help, there are the most actual broadcasts and news. Crowds of fans, a crazy amount of emotions, and, of course, a crazy level of play of the cyber athletes. Looking at it, you involuntarily start to imagine yourself in the place of top gamers and wonder, "What does it take to get to the top?"

Practice all the time

Everyone knows the saying since childhood: "Patience and hard work will make everything better. CS:GO is no exception: you can only get better by constantly practicing. You don't have to go far to find an example. Even if you're not familiar with the world of professional Counter-Strike, you probably know such a player as s1mple. Take a look at how much time he spends on individual practice when he's not training as a team player. And team practices can sometimes take up the better part of a day. Gambit Esports players, for example, spend eight hours six days a week practicing together. Only professionals have that kind of commitment, but if you're looking at them and would like to take their place someday, make sure you give CS:GO at least a couple of hours a day. And no weekends!

Socialize

Teamwork is the key to winning in professional CS:GO. The outcome of a match often depends on how well the five players understand each other. In CS:GO, most interactions are built around communication, that is, between teammates. Info must be transmitted as quickly as possible, and to do this you need to clearly know the names of all the classic positions on the maps and basic terminology. Memorize the names of places during the matchmaking games, and watch the tape recordings of the professional teams' teammates. This will help you get acclimated to CS:GO faster, and so you'll take one more step on your way to the professional scene.

Practice Shooting

Of course, the most fun part of CS:GO is playing matchmaking. The 5v5 matches, all pro-like, are a delight! But if you seriously want to get to the pro scene, you'll have to spend more than an hour on individual training. Start, in my humble opinion, it is worthwhile to shoot. Cyber athletes have this skill honed to perfection. To reach their level, practice on maps with bots, and also do not forget to drop in before matchmaking on Deathmatch to stretch. At the initial stages of the game, you are unlikely to meet opponents with serious tactical training, so in most cases, the outcome of the match will be decided in the shootout.

Do not forget about the mechanics

It would seem that we know how to shoot, and all the grenades we have learned. But there is still a long way to go to the big cybersport. It is time to learn how to move properly. Do you know why bots are easier to hit than real enemies? Bots move predictably: they don't crouch at an unexpected moment, they don't strafe, and they don't jump out "on the pixel" to check the area around the corner. Now, look at the professional players, whose actions are as coordinated as possible. You can never waste an extra second, so all your actions must be fine-tuned to the smallest detail. Practice on the special maps from the Workshop, as well as watch your movements during Deathmatch, and then the enemies will be much harder to kill you, and you will become an even more effective player.
