Love the mod pack, have to have low settings to play but my computer isn't the best though
You and me both lol I feel your pain! :(
Hey guys, so you might be here for the competition details, so I'm going to get straight to it. Using HQM Quest Mod 1.7.10, create about a few dozen quests (12-40) and submit them to me via [email protected]. Create the quests using the in-game editor using the command "/hqm edit". They will then be saved to "AppData/Roaming/.technic/modpacks/aether-ii-revived/config/hqm/quests.hqm". When sending the E-Mail, write in the subject line "HQM Quests". If the subject line says anything else, it will be ignored. In the email, please attach the "quests.hqm" file AND the files found in "QuestFiles", if there are any; both can be found in the earlier directory address. A brief example of the quests themselves and, if applicable, the over laying story is prefered. If you make your own story, please stay lore friendly as possible! You can refer to the Aether II Wiki for lore details. Also, keep all content including language G rated. Entrants may have their entire quest line used, or only certain quests. There is the possibility for multiple winners. As soon as you send the e-mail containing the files, those files become property of Gryph0nnn. I will, of course, give all credit to the creators. There is no reward for this other than seeing your own quests be played by many other players here on Technic. I also reserve the right to make edits to every and any component of the files and how they are used in game. I don't think I will though cause I'm lost :b If there are no quality entrants, no entrants within the rules earlier stated, or no entrants at all, I will create my own quest line, however it will take a long time. Good luck to all, and thanks for participating, whether creator or user! If you have any questions feel free to ask me here on this discussion page. No where else, they will be ignored. Just helps me stay organized :) Happy coding everyone!
are there any servers that work with this pack?
No official servers because I'm short on funds for a rented server. Hopefully I'll change this in the future, but for now, no servers. There are official server files available for DL however, they can be used anywhere, anytime, for whatever. If you or anyone else reading this would like to set one up, I'd be happy to link to it here on the page, so long as it's a quality server.
ya it does it says failed to download consult modpack author and then there's a link that i cant click
Looks like the link hit it's bandwidth limit, so it's switched back to another link. It should work fine now. Thanks for letting me know :)
i just found this mod pack and it wont let me install it anyone know why?
Hey Stardust, sorry for the trouble. Does the launcher display any kind of error?
Hay Gryph0nnn! I just want to say that I really love this modpack, and I saw that you were thinking about adding HQM into it. I would love that, and it would be so much fun! Please consider! ~VWbug66
Hey VWbug66, I love the idea and it certainly gives a lot more playability to the pack. I can say that without being arrogant because it was actually Maxwhatup's idea lol. Right now I'm holding a bit of a "competition" sorta speak for people who are interested in making a questline and submitting it to me. Meanwhile I will keep making quests as well to add to the mod. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! :)
Hey Gryph0nnn,
Sorry to bother you, because it could be just me, but every time i try installing or updating your pack, it says:
"Error downloading a file for the following pack: Aether II: Genesis of the Void
Failed to download https://copy.com/Fnf9yDs1w3icjYWN?download=1
Please consult the modpack author."
Which stinks because I was really looking forward to the update! If you can possibly give any advice on what's causing the problem, I'll do my best to fix it, but if it's a server thing, I'm afraid its up to you Gryph!
Thanks for the pack and keep up the awesome work!
~Amond
No bother man, thanks for letting me know :) I'm working on a fix now. I will hopefully have this up and running really soon.

Hey guys, sorry for being gone so much lately. I had some major computer problems that I just got worked out. Thanks for the patience and sorry in advance for any late replies :(
Have you tried un installing the mod and re installing it? I had to that for the same reason
for some reason every time i try to enter the Aether my game crashes
This usually happens when entity ID conflicts occur, but sense the pack works on my rig with no configs changed, I'm thinking something got screwed in the DL. I suggest what Majorhoneydew suggested and reinstall the pack. If that doesn't help, I don't know what the issue is. Best wishes!
Oh, never mind that's a silver dungeon :p
I think gold dungeons are missing for now and will be added on a later version. The Aether II team has announced that gold dungeons may only be available in the 1.8 rewrite.
Anyone have any tips on how to find a silver dungeon? I found a gold one last night, but i cant seem to find a silver one. However, I did see a giant floating building that looked like the Parthenon.
How am i supposed to get battlegear for the servers? Isnt it in the modpack?
Yes, but for some reason it was corrupting downloads. I tried reinstalling the mod to the server files, but to no avail. I believe it has something to do with the file host's servers, in which case the problem can be resolved when I finish migrating to a new host. In the meantime, you can copy the mod file from [AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\aether-ii-revived\mods] and copy 1.7.10-MB_Battlegear2-Bullseye-1.0.8.2.jar to the mods folder in the server files. Best wishes!
hia, i was wondering what the ip for the server is, if there is one that is, please and thank you
Hey Zidane :) Unfortunately, there is no official server setup, but you can download the server files and host one if you have a powerful rig. There may be plans to change that soon but no guarantees. If you need any help with the server files if you choose to use them, just let me know. Thanks for contacting me :)
Sorry to bother you, but my friend and I are playing on a server that I am hosting myself and we can't seem to get Battlegear to work at all! We can't craft items nor access the dual wielding inventory screen. Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated!!
Hello Prince, sorry about that, I'll have to try and recreate it when I get home tonight. Can you tell me if it works in single player? Meanwhile I'll check the config files. Thanks for contacting me :)
Hey Prince. I'm sorry to say that I am unable to recreate the problem. I am able to craft BG2 items on all three types of crafting tables and I am able to access the BG2 inventory via the "BG" button on the grey tab to the left of the vanilla inventory. If you need more help don't hesitate to ask however I'm not sure how much more I'm able to do sense I can't recreate the issue. Best of wishes in any case, sorry for the trouble.
I'm new to Technic Pack, and I can't find out how to download this modpack. I've seen a few of my favorite YouTubers using this modpack, and it looks too fun to be real! I was hoping you could add a link in the 'help' section that would allow users to install it. I can't wait until I figure out how to use this pack! (by the way, how did you come up with 'Genesis of the Void'? That's definitely the coolest name for an Aether pack!
Hey, sorry for the late reply. By now you probably have already figured it out, but just in case, all you need to do is click the words "Install This Modpack" in the upper right side of this page, just under the total Likes/Downloads/Runs counters. Normally that copys it to clip board but sometimes doesn't so I click on the link that appears so the whole link is highlited in blue and then I press Ctrl + C to copy. Then open your launcher and go to Modpacks. Then left click the search bar on the left side of the launcher. Then right click and select past OR press Ctrl + V and you should see the link get pasted on the bar, and the right hand side and the modpack should display on the main viewing area of the launcher. Then press "Install" down in the lower right side of the launcher. And that should be it. If it still doesn't work, just let me know and I'll try to help further.
And thanks for the compliment on the name of the pack, but sadly I can't take credit for it lol. It was actually the full name of the Aether II mod that the dev team came up with.
I probably should have included this link in the original response, but hey lol. Anyways, here's Technic's official guide for installing packs: https://technicpack.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204020115-How-to-Install-Modpacks
Umm idk if this has something to do with the Aether II team dropping the 1.7.10 updates but i tried to update the modpack today and i recieved a message saying: Error downloading a file for the following pack : Aether II: Genesis of the Void. Failed to download https://copy.com/Fnf9yDs1w3icjYWN?download=1. Please consonsult the modpack author. I am now unable to play the pack as a whole since if i choose to not update it will not have any of the mods since they are all removed from the mod file.
Sorry about that, it's because my host has a 50GB limit per 24 hours. It should be working again now, I need to switch hosts to keep this from happening.
So, in light of the recent news of the Aether II team dropping 1.7.10 updates and moving to 1.8, I figured I'd give a brief, well... briefing of what will happen for this modpack now. First off, I just want to clear any confusion or anxieties and say that this modpack is not being removed or replaced. This version of the modpack will be maintained and updated as necessary. When the 1.8 rewrite is released, I will release a brand new modpack separate from this one. Secondly, I just want to restate this for emphasis, this modpack will be maintained and updated even after the release for the 1.8 rewrite. So let's talk about the downside. The major downside is the infamous new world's. When Crossing the gap between major version updates of Minecraft, all worlds are lost. This is reason number one why I won't take this pack down. It stinks to lose all of that progress just to try a new feature, so if we don't have to lose the world we want to keep, why not both keep our worlds and experience new features in a new world? The second downside is, 1.7.10 skins are extremely wacked out in 1.8 because of the new modeling, texturing, and the annoying randomly chosen Steve or Alex body frames, instead of giving us a bloody choice like most games. I'm not entirely sure what can be done about this, but I'm sure there's a lot of people on Google and Reddit that know what to do. I wish I could be more helpful than that, but the most I can give you is a heads up. Anyways, thanks for the awesome support and interest, until next time, happy crafting! :)
I prefer themed modpacks. This modpack is amazing. I just have a couple of problems. You should make a server for everyone who uses this modpack, it would be awesome. Secondly, how do u make an aether portal
