How much vis does it take to purify a node? I was able to clean nodes with my wand in 2.1.3, but in 2.1.4 with a full silverwood wand, i cant take away its tainted status

I think its about 120. It's more than 100 but I for sure 120. Try making a staff. Sooo much better.

Weird.. i went to make a silverwood staff with charged voidmetal caps.. the cost is 216!! even with -25% cost, its 162.. which is interesting because the core that can be used on the table can hold 100 max.. what am i supposed to do?
I would look around for some apprentice rings and make some void thaumaturge clothing because each piece of armor not only repairs itself automatically but it also give you a 5% discount of vis which is better than any other armor. Other than the Thaumostatic harness (Only a 5% discount on aer), helmet of revealing and goggles of revealing.
I have the full void robe set (amazing stuff btw) turns out the answer is the upgrade my foci to frugal to reduce it a bunch more

So i finally finished my staff.. the frugal thing doesnt work in crafting anymore, I had to make a scepter to make the void capped silverwood staff.
Why am i not able to add a diamond and a gold block to a pick to give an additional modifyer?

Shade make an alchemical boiler, it's just like the alchemical furnace but you use just liquids. Great for getting sano.

It does. You are still able play but not able to completely win the game.
we've encountered an issue with a weapon rack when painted. it returns an index out of range exception when looking for the model variant that doesn't exist, leading to the chunk being permanently corrupted.
We need some sort of solution that doesn't lean towards having to use world edit, bringing the server down just to fix the one chunk.

optifine isn't really made (and isn't supported) for large mod packs

Tried updating to 2.1.4 but when I add the dynamic lights mod, the game crashes on startup. Anyone have any idea what would cause this to happen, or how to fix it? I need that mod for my LP. For now I'm sticking with 2.1.2, but I'd like to update when I can.
Chances are there are conflicts between dynamic lights and a mod in the modpack. Check item id's in the configuration folders, these are common conflicts. I don't know much else but I hope it helped!
Dynamic lights doesn't add any items to the game, so that can't be it. I have to find the error logs so I can try to track down the error... but I really can't understand what it could be. Thanks for trying, anyway.

Any tips on how to get copper ores? I found 2 in that mine at alpha but I literally can't find any anywhere else.

Well, there is no special trick, you can found from height 60 to 7 everywhere, specially in "ore caches", but to unlock ore caches, you need to discover some ores first.
look for copper level equivalents, if you type soft metal, hard metal, or what ever mining level you are looking for then it will show you all the kinds of picks that have that mining level. also if your in alpha and have mining for copper you have probably come across prometheum and you should just use that to make a pick
I meant to say if you type soft metal into the NEI search bar it will bring up the kinds of picks and materials that will mine that level of hardness
If you get far enough into your Thaumcraft research, you will be able to do metal transmutation which allows you to take metallum and put it in a crucible and throw a nugget of your choice metal into the crucible and create more of that metal. To research this go under your alchemy tab.
When I try to install Blightfall, I get an error saying:

some reason i cant craft a stone gun, im useing normal cobble, oak wood, a switch and a smoothstone button.

if i remember right, you HAVE to use a normal stone button, no other version will work for it
Anyone who runs a server (esp unix) run into an issue where the console stops accepting commands? It works for a few hours, and eventually stops accepting commands until I stop and restart the process. It still shows me log data such as logins and outs, but i cant op or anything. A google search shows 1 or 2 people talking about the same problem but never solved.

Seems to be an issue with screen, once i swap the session then swap back, it stops accepting commands. any idea what i could do instead?
I can't get my date sapling to grow. Even half stack of bone-meal does nothing.

Make sure it is in a large, open area, has enough light, and if those don't work, try growing it in a jungle.
it says in book 5 (the one about armor) that thaumium armor can be repaired by a energitic infuser. but it didnt do anything when i tried it. am i doing something wrong?

2 things, 1 for some reason for the technic launcher is says im offline but i know its not my wifi, any solutions?
2, does anybody know a way to keep the taint from affecting you when you walk on it, like is there some sort of armor that can prevent me from getting hurt or anything like that?

There is no way to prevent taint poisoning so just be careful.
break the tendrals. they are what gives taint and what tainticals need to attack with the little ones.

If your system restore is on, you should be able to restore your save folder to before it was deleted
My brother and I are trying to play Blightfall together, but every time he gets on, he lasts about a minute before he crashes. I know this isn't just a problem with our internet or computers. Is there any way to get rid of this?
Honestly, it is either the internet or the computers. Do any of you use 32-bit Java 86x ? Try alocating more memory to the launcher or reduce the graphics settings if it's a crash resorting from extensive memory usage.
