Having a new problem was progressing in blood magic and i am attempting to create a diamond pickaxe using the blood magic method i copied everything tried 6 times in different patterns and it will only create a diamond sword never a diamond pickaxe.

Known issue already fixed in the dev version. Expect a patch tomorrow!
When I try to install my Blightfall it will say it finished the install but where it should say play, it says install, and I have to keep clicking install over and over again and it still won't work. (I meet all of the requirements to install it for my computer, thats why its weird.)

Please delte the pack completely from the launcher and install it again :)
I've created 2 maps now and have advanced more in one than the other. Now my problem is with my 1st map it came up with the grout making thing yet with the second one it hasn't have I done something wrong please help

On the second one, did you say you didn't need tutorials? The grout making thing is a tutorial. You may have opted out of it.
Talons is there anyway If I done no tutorials that I can find out how to actually do it
i put my ram on 7gb but its still really slow and it laggs everywhere

try lowering your settings, like turning off clouds, lowering render distance, turning settings to fast instead of fancy.
I want to build a nether portal to the nether, but every time I try, the portal texture doesn't show up, and yes, I'm sure I'm building it right

That's because the modpack has netherless installed which disables that feature.
I want to build a ships helm from archimedes ships. but I cannot craft it somehow or look it up in NEI. Does someone knows if this item has been disabled somewhere?
EDIT: All the other items from archimedes can be build however.
It i disabled until you research it with Thaumcraft research.
Thought so hahaha ^^, i was already afraid it would be like that XD
I go to launch the game and it crashes shortly after :/

Could you add Ars Magica 2? It would be the perfect modpack and I would play it everyday if you did! Thanks for reading my comment and please add Ars Magica 2.
I'm afraid not. The power scaling on Ars Magica is out of balance with almost all other mods. We looked into it, but couldn't find a way for it and Thaumcraft to coexist in the same modpack without balance issues.

Have an op use /cofh tpx to get you out. The milenium portal will work properly next version. Until then, it only works in single-player due to a bug in Extra Utilities. :(
I can't create a server. You know why? NO! Every single time i am trying to make a server i can't because 1. The right files are not there or 2. The files don't open properly. Now Both of theese errors are here, so i can't make a server and play with my friends. Which is really lame. The problem is that the blightfall.jar does not want to open, which means that i can't get all of the files, and that doesn't allow me to open the start.bat file. Plus i can't edit anything in the server properties file. I try to change it, but the outcome is always a big no, so i can't put in the ip andress. Anyone with help please respond.

first off, if you put in an ip adress ur gonna have problems, the ip is supposed to be blank, only under very special circumstances are you to put an ip in that slot and thats if you know what your doing like a remote server or something weird, 99% of time leave it blank, have you checked that your using the latest java and that all older java's are uninstalled, just to make sure uninstall all java's and then re-install java 64-bit or 32-bit latest, ill link you to the right place java:https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
also after you uninstall download ccleaner and run the registry scan about 2-3 or even 4 times till nothing java shows up in there, backup every time just incase something goes wrong, ive never had an issue but who knows!
hearing word that only 64-bit java works, this makes sense due to the complexity of the pack, try uninstalling all java 32 bit and 64 bit and only install java 64 bit, this will improve functionality of all java applications including minecraft!
hi i am having trouble playing this pack. whenever i try it says i need 2GB of RAM, but when i try to switch it in the java settings there is a yellow exclamation point and there is no option for 2 GB

The problem is that the basic java is 32-bit. To fix it, you have to go to java and download specifically the current version of 64-bit java. When that's done, go back to the launcher and select the number of Gb ram you want to use and done.
I did that but it still says that its a 32 bit and no 2 gb help
uninstall java 32 bit all together

add or remove programs, uninstall "java" done
https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp use this to download 64 bit offline version, to make sure you get that java only
Hello . I have a problem with downloading a modpack. It goes to 97 percent and then an error come out saying : Error downloading a filefor the following pack : Blightfall

Hello everyone,
My friend and I are attempting to both have a go at this amazing modpack after I played around on it for a little while and told him about it.
However, when we start up the server and login, we get all of the mods downloaded and running just fine, it's just that the map isn't the correct map.
There's no ship in the sky above the ocean, there's no tainted lands, it's just a plain old vanilla looking world.
We've tried reloading the server and making a new map several times now and nothing seems to be working.
If anyone has a possible solution to this problem, please let me know.

I have literally never seen this happen. You could try copying the "Flans" folder from its current position into the "worlds" directory. You can also try re-downloading the pack; perhaps the save game failed to download for some reason.
I'm not sure where both the "Flans" folder or the "worlds" directory are at. Anyways, in response to your suggestion to re-download the pack, my friend and I both create Single-Player worlds just fine with everything running smoothly, so I don't think the game failed to download the save game. :/
Well technically it's not completely "working". We're still not able to create a Multiplayer world without it just throwing us into a plain old vanilla Minecraft world with the mods installed. We just can't seem to get the right map.
Sorry, misunderstood previous replies. The map is definitely in the server pack. Are you running the forge jar, right?

Okay I am so confused, I need help. First off, great mod pack btw its amazing :D. Second, my problem is that, me and my friends have been playing this modpack together for a few days now, everything has been fine. But today, when I try to put the server up for us today, it crashes. I looked through the crash report and thought it was either Big Reactors or Thermal Dynamics. So I took them out of the mods folder, the server ran fine. I put them back in and the server crashed again. So, I am very confused. I'd like to report a bug. On the quest "Another path to purity" where it asks you to get a Botanist Ethereal Bloom.
I got one, the quest book is not however detecting that I have one.

Not helpful - we need your crash-report / Technic Launcher console output
for those of you who cant deal with spice of life (my main problem with it is that it doesn't seem to want to reset even after hours of play) you can disable it in the config file under spiceoflife.cfg and set main to false

what does spice of life do?
