Your game is crashing before it even loads? Confirm you are using Java 8.
Apropos minimaps!!! This pack comes with opis, but in the client version it is located in the disabled folder. That means that if you want to use the default mini-map, you have to move the mod jar. In windows, just go to %appdata% and go into the modpack. Move the jar to the mods folder. it is as easy as that. Personally, I suggest downloading journey map and throwing that into the mods folder and keeping opis off unless you need to do admin work. I cannot put JourneyMap into the pack due to licensing. Blame the modder :P
