Is there any way to rename the waypoint stones that can be found randomly?
They are all just blank and I did not find a way to rename them, I searched google and found a comment that it should be possible with "ctrl+right click" but it does not work.
At the moment I have 5-6 nameless waypoints but there is now way to differentiate them.
Unfortunately, it is not possible as far as I am aware. Because we are on 1.7.10, there are some features in waystones that we dont have access to. In fact, even the randomly spawning waystones (which is a standard feature in newer versions) is something I had to implement myself through the use of other mods, as it didn;t even have that functionality in 1.7.10. It is best to make a note of which waystone tele goes where, or just try to remember. I generally only activate waystones if I think the location will be useful, so I don;t clutter it up too much.
If anything might i suggest also putting a reset button into the server so players do not get bored.
A reset was never added on the server, as it is very exploitable (eg. loot a bunch of chests that are easy to access, put the loot in a chest, then reset and repeat over and over). It is also not quite so simple, as I would have to manually clear a bunch of plugin and mod data (the player data file, custom NPCs quest data file, Tchest loot files, etc).
Were only offering to donate and aren't trying to buy anything from you. We just want to see the server strive.

If anything, me and my group of friends are just suggesting that we pay to keep it up. It has quite alot of potential and id hate to see something like that crumble.
Question Chris, What were you paying for the upload speeds? Me and a group of friends might be able to put funding in for it.
It was 145 CAD (113 USD) per month for the 30mbp/s upload speed I needed (this was to have 30 or so people online at once).
Chris, Currently i am a manager/co-owner of another modded minecraft server and it doesnt cost that much a month for the server we are renting. It is 70 USD for a 500mb ssd along with 32 gigs of ram. We are currently running multiple servers off of this one machine.
I would recommend finding another server host if possible since the prices they are asking for is quite insane.
For Terrorcraft, using a host is nearly impossible in my experience. I tried a few hosts, and always had to host myself due to their inability to handle large amounts of entities updating. The mods aren't much of an issue, it is the thousands of entities. The price I listed was the price for a 30mbps connection in my area, not a hosting cost. The hardware on the system is nearly irreverent, as it has more to do with a ton of player/entity interrections updating
*interractions.
"The Best RPG modpack" huh? You could've been the best Horror RPG modpack. That's sad. You should give the modpack to someone else that is a fan of it and who will let other horror fans enjoy it rather than letting it die.
The TerrorCraft server may very well come back one day when I am in a position to host it again. It was a huge project to create it, and I definitely don't plan on giving it away, as I hope to be able to continue developing it again someday. I've even turned down offers to buy it so far.

Im a player from your terrorcraft modpack you had up and running not too long ago, i was wondering what had happened to it. I really loved playing on it and would like to once again. If you cant bring the server back up at least can you give me the server map and the pack rights so i can bring the modpack back up that i loved so very much.
It may be back someday, I just don;t have the money for the upload speed that a server like that requires right now. Part of the reason it went down was that there weren't many people willing to donate, and the cost for the upload speeds it required were too high. I would like to bring it back one day though, when I can host it properly. I have no plans to give the maps away, however.
weird question but i havent played this pack in... 6 months? XD anyone wanna tell me how much its changed since then without me having to scan pages of updates
The best way to see is to jump back in. A hub town has been added, which you start in. There, you can trade items with NPCs, to quests, and eventually unlock huge boss dungeons. Mod-wise not a lot has changed, some buggy things were just fixed or removed. Existing worlds wont see the new changes, there is a pre-made default world with multiple building location options that must be played in order to access all the new content, and that world auto-updates with each pack update without losing your home etc.
I seem to be having some problems with the server. I am unable to change the Ram but when i try to it comes up with more errors. If you can help me that would be wonderful.
What error is coming up when you change the RAM? Make sure you have enough RAM to allocate to the server, as well as run your other programs/processes.
I have a problem with this mudpack that wasn't there before the update. Heat/Cold meter that comes with AoA. Its very unforgiving for early game starters since you are constantly getting hurt because you don't have flint and steel. Torches, campfires or anything of the sorts won't make you warm. You either have to have flint and steel on you at all times, or swim in lava for a bit. Both of them are tedious. I looked at forums and it seems like the cold/warm meter was removed a long time ago (and it seems AoA skills are gone) so you may have an older version.
Speak to the survival expert right where you spawn, he explains that you simply have to drink tea, and tells you how to make it. He sells many of the ingredients to make it, and you can buy tea and cups in the inn. Aside from that, just having a fire in your house should be enough for when you run out of tea, and there is a set of armor you can buy from the survival expert later in the game when you have more gold that will make you immune to cold.
Is there a way to deactivate the heat/cold feature?
No, it is not togglable. Wearing thermal armor will basically deactivate it though
Hey, when I make a new world, there is no town. i have tried selecting the normal and multi.gen world type. nothing works, so any tips?
You have to play the pre-made world called "Play this world only!", generating a new world will do nothing.

Yeah, just delete and re-install the mod pack. It will also come back if you update the pack when there is one available, and the town area in existing worlds will update itself during updates to add new content to existing worlds.

I'll have to turn off fire spread by default in the next update, didn't realize it was not already.

No official server. It is up to community members to start one up, though I will gladly add it to the default server list for the pack if anyone does.
Chris , but do you not want to make a server like the epic modpack ? like an official server with towns quests dunegons ect?
Servers are fine, I just can;t run one with my current setup. Anyone else who makes one that runs decently can get it added to the official server listing though. The modpack has towns/dungeons/etc even on single player, so multiplayer isn't needed for that anymore.
Wow! The modpack has come really far! I remember in the very beginning when mobs spawned in the dozens in mere seconds, quickly overwhelming anyone who dared being outside for more than 2 minutes. Just want to congratulate you for sticking with it, I'm going to make a server soon for a Discord group and we'll see what kind of new things we'll encounter! Keep it up! :)

With the newest version, I am unable to destroy any blocks anywhere.
This seems to have fixed itself after teleporting via /spawn and then returning to the normal world.
Yeah, that can happen sometimes. /spawn or speaking to the info NPC will always fix it (only happens once on new worlds if at all).

This is the best place to get a hold of me, I don't really use any other sites. I am only working on this modpack atm. The main help I need is playtesting and balance/bug/feature feedback atm.
Just put up an update to fix some bugs. The millenaire bug can still only be fixed by deleting the millenaire folder in the saves folder for those who already started playing.
There seems to be an issue with area protection, as well as the /spawn command. I will be updating the pack shortly to (hopefully) fix this. It will also repair any damage to the town area.
