BIG update - loads of the old 1.6.4 mods have resurfaced and I can finally get the most up-to-date versions - I've got more up-to-date 1.6.4 mods in here than the Direwolf20 1.6.4 pack now.
I now have the non-BTEC version of MFFS working, and now MineChem and Railcraft have been added!
The server modpack has also been updated.

Finally removed magical crops. Updated Tinkers' Construct in the process, so expect new and varied bugs!

Added optifine (to reduce jittering) and shaders core. There should be 4 shaderpacks available, hopefully not enabled by default. Also added a server link to the technic platform.

Finally added project red! this means marble, coloured redstone lamps and red alloy wire. Getting closer and closer to being better than tekkit, all that needs to happen now is for magical crops to be removed and for MFFS to be added.
You may get an error when you run it for the first time. To fix, go into cuttle's science modpack -> mods -> 1.6.4 and delete all files in there. Then relaunch the modpack and it should fix itself.

Added redstoneinmotion, microblocks (handsaws etc)
could not remove magical crops, somehow this has become integral to modpack function.

Backdated to v2.0 and installed the latest version of Forge - seems to be fixed
