So, having tried re-installing the modpack, checking for (and finding) another older copy of Java on my PC, and meeting the requirements to run the pack (and running the pack with, and without a texture pack), are there any other suggestions to what might be an issue on my end? Once again, running an i7 @ 4.1 ghz, 18 gigs of ram allocated (from 24 total), and an Nvidia GTX 760, all on a 2nd generation SSD. I am experiencing lockups and crashing in game, as well as what looks to be chunk corruption.
At this point, it'd be interesting to know how and when those happened (opening inventory, creating world,...). Also I think you mentionned the absence of crashlogs? If not you should really host them on pastebin and share with the devs ( You can find them in "%appdata%\.technic\modpacks\enderx-core-zero\crash-reports" )
On closing a door, on climbing a ladder, and on nearing one of the structures that is being generated by one of the mods (one looks like a boat, but isn't, if that makes sense, and another looks like a ruined two story stone brick building, covered in vines). I will go and upload the crash logs right now :)
By the way, where is the link for Pastebin to upload the crash reports in the correct place? Or should I search for Core Zero on the site?
Core Zero don't have any bug tracking tool that I'm aware of, post the link here meanwhile :)
for you people to know, DO NOT get into that weird portal to that weird dimension
if you get into that, you may crash, and the only way you can get your world back is by that backup they made
this mod is very unstable, and was deleted from modpacks for reasons
so I ask the owner CORE ZERO, could you please delete this mod?
I think this was the mod dimensional doors
That's its name yeah, no problem with it on my side though, and very fun
Me too, but this punishement Dimension is so weird...
XD
Well, having considered the wall of text below this post, sadly this modpack isn't ready for public consumption yet. Having allocated 16 gigs of ram (out of 24), trying to play with and without texture packs, and with the most recent version of 64 bit Java, the game is too unstable to play.
I understand that this is an experimental modpack, and I absolutely love the included mods and effort involved to get them all to try and work up to this point, but I will have to shelve it until there are some updates to address stability. I truly hope you guys aren't rushing ahead with plans for a public server when so many are having issues getting the game to play in single player.
Having run a public server in the past (for a niche mega modpack), I understand the headaches and time involved in fine tuning the play experience (and this was for a relatively stable modpack), so I can only hope you don't alloctae all of your resources there. Good luck guys.
Amaxter has much experince and Core Zero knows everything because he has is own thoughts with them together i dount think there is anything they cant overcome
Honestly the game is very stable on my side with a lower rig than yours so you might want to double check the classics (multiple java installation and all of those). About the issue you mentionned earlier, did you try disconnecting and loading your world again? That happened to me because of a very nasty Pandora's Box but that settled it
In the spirit of transparency, I DID find an additional version of Java on my PC. However, the game still locks up after 1-2 minutes from loading into my world. It's also using around 7.5 - 8.5 gigs of the available 16.
And to be clear, I am trying to separate myself from the typical "Game don't run hep MEEEEEEEEE" posts that typically inhabit the discussion page. I am all ears when it comes to suggestions, and any way I can help provide crash reports or bug feedback, I will gladly do so.
2,048 gigabytes of ram isn't going to do anything more than 8 if you don't have a good, especially on this modpack.
I got the game running absolutely fine, with the following specs:
RAM-8 gigabytes
Processor-AMD Phenon(tm) II X4 965 Processor (3.4 GHz)
Graphics Card-GeForce GTX 660.
Although I do get stuttering at times, my processor is relatively outdated. You can't run Core Zero on a potato, even if that potato has 16 gigs of RAM shoved into it.
Amaxter and Jon know what they're doing. if the pack was broken they'd have taken it down.
Nerd War XD
Not sure what you meant by "2,048 gigabytes of ram isn't going to do anything more than 8 if you don't have a good, especially on this modpack". I am assuming you meant CPU? I have a (relatively) outdated i7 as well, overclocked to 4.1 GHZ. I can appreciate your enthusiasm for the mod pack creators' prowess - however, I am having issues with the pack that I have never experienced before in another pack, and I consider my tech level to be high. If you have some suggestions as to what the issues might be other than what I have written on this page, then I'm all ears :)
OOOOOOoooooooo this fight, just got real
By the way, sorry if my comment seemed a bit hostile, it's just the arrogance in your comment irked me a bit. The Core Zero team is spending plenty of time making a server, I really don't think they need to be told it's a waste of time by some user commenting on their pack. The absurdity in even thinking that one machine's failure to smoothly run a compilation of mods is evidence that said modpack or said modpack's server won't function for people with equivalent or better hardware is astronomical, and should be regarded as such: arrogant crazy talk.
Meant to say processor in that first comment.
Try seeing if your CPU is burdened by external processes (browsers, Skype, etcetra) through the Task Manager.
Non apology aside, I inferred my opinion in my post, without coming right out and making it a disclaimer. So I now say "Attention - this is my opinion above! When I say it isn't fit for public consumption, I am including myself in the public domain!". You have every right to be angry with my opinion. But, as I have mentioned, I am looking for solutions, and not for what I consider to be "White Knighting" for the mod pack creators (once again, my opinion). I guess what you are saying is that if the modpack doesn't work on my PC (which has no problem running the multitudes of other modpacks out there, including RR3, then the problem is mine alone, since yours works great? Not sure how that helps the development process. According to the Overview page, this is a modpack that features content "both stable and unstable". I get it. But my experience with the game is that too unstable to play for more than 10 minutes means too unstable to give it a fair shake. Which is why I said I would wait for updates. Once again, I said I am happy to provide any required feedback in whatever form they wish. Since you have resorted to calling me names, and end any kind of rational discussion, I won't bother responding to you further. Have a great day!
I am experimental by design and am not intended to be stable. However, I am not prone to that many issues, so it is a problem on your end. I would highly recommend looking at your Java version and graphics drivers. Also 16 GB of memory is TOO much, only use 3-5 (too much memory freaks out Java)
Thanks - I will look into these and see if lowering the ram helps.
the format was supposed to be different and neat XD
ATTENTION: IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE ISSUES;
===
If you have problems loading chunks
Core Zero cannot download on your computer
When Core Zero's server is online, you get tons of lag when you join
When Core Zero's server is online, you cannot play on it because when you log on you crash,
===
Try all of the below
===
-Get more memory on your technic launcher
1. Click the cog labled "Launcher Options"
2. Next, a smaller Window should pop up, Click Java Settings
3. Click the drop down next to where it says "Memory"
4. Select a amount of memory above 2GB
-Update Java to the latest version
1. This link will guide you through updating Java:
https://www.java.com/en/download/help/update_runtime_settings.xml
-Get better internet
Before you go to me saying "I tried everything and i have really good internet"
Do your speedtest here: http://www.speedtest.net/ to see if you can say i have good internet
My speed is 18 ping ms, 22.50 mbs Download speed and 2.27 Upload Speed.
Decent Internet^
If you still have Issues, I can answer not-nerdy questions, and I am sure Amaxter can answer some too along with other staff :D
if you like what you see, consider following me on my technic pack profile
That is a lot of server talk... Does that mean the server is coming out today? Yes? Or are you toying with my feelings?!
As far as I know, they are not affiliated with us.
Oh I see then
Actually they have they said it would be out today from Core Zero's Update thing 3 days ago
i have flawless speeds with 8 gigs ram, slow startup on both game and server, estimated 20 minutes overall but once its all done im in and swimming
Couple of things - I am experiencing a weird glitch in the game. There will be a long blue strip on my map that appears to be part of a corrupted chunk that I cannot pass, and it extends from the surface all the way down into bedrock. Also having random crashes to desktop during the game. Where should I send crash reports to?
Oh, and one more thing. Resource packs aren't "sticky". When I log out or crash out, I have to enable a texture pack each time.
if you follow my PSA above it might help with crashes and unloaded chunks
And the resource packs, it should work... probably a bug D:
Just posted above your post. As mentioned, I am running with 16 gigs of ram (out of 24), played the game with and without texture packs, running the most recent version of 64 bit java. This is with an i7 at 4.1 GHZ and two GTX 760's. My internet is 50 down, 20 up.
Core Zero, How long until your amazing server is up
what is the server IP
It's not out yet :(
why so long for an update
My server is being built.
why does the Pre-initialization fail for me?
same happens to me.
Check out the help tab.
hi core zero your are very fun to play and what are your thoughts on sirie
(:
Hello, well I really loved this modpack , but in the first day of playing it ( 2 days ago ) my game just crashed without crash report, and its really annoying I mean CMON I PLAY IT FOR 3 MINUTES AND THEN IT FREAKING CRASHES. Plz help meeeeee ;-;
can u make official core zero server faster ?? i'm waiting so long
Pretty sure that having their modpack unstable in single player is going to have even greater issues in a public server. Unless you aren't having any crashes, and then I wouldn't believe you.
nope i don't get any crashes
For some odd reason, it crashes when I put in 3 or more GB of RAM, but runs relatively fine with 2 - still crashing though. My Java is the latest 64-bit Java and my computer has 3.2 GHz.
Still keeps freezing, when building Terrain and I don't know why. (I got an Intel Core i5, now 10 GB RAM for the modpack Nvidia graphics and there is still no Crash Report)... Sorry, I will try again , because I want to try this modpack out. If it works, it would be my favourite modpack...
Never mind! The AUto updater of my Java is broken -_-
I LOVE THE MODPACK!!!!
So how did u fix it?? Im having the same issue ;-;
You have to re-install your Java 64 bit Version and allocate Minimum 4GB RAM...
Every time i try to load it it stops at 85 percent and just crashes.HELP MEEEEEEE!,i really want to play this
Check out help section, and provide details
^
I have 8GB RAM. I have allocated it 3GB - 6GB. I have 64 Bit Java. I have an AMD 6300 Six Core Processor. Definitely the equivalent to an Intel i5. I have everything listed in your Help Section and every time it hits 85%, freeze then CRASH, So, some extra help aside from "Look at help section" would be awesome. :D Thanks!
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Every single one of my favourite mods! Installing right now...
another series of this pack chain... Mianite Survival >>> Rexxit Jurrasic Craft >>> Core Zero. I wonder whats next? maybe a full magic mod? :D
This does not work. I spend 1 hour doing things and it FREEZES UP AND NOTHING AT ALL HAPPENS, THEN I TRY AGAIN AND HAPPENS AGAIN! Help me. help me.
Dude, you know what can help you? POST A CRASH REPORT. That really helps in the process of Amateur fixing your problem
What do you mean? The game freezes after an hour of gameplay? If so, you may need even more RAM for the pack.
No, it freezes when loading. I am also unable to send reports.
