I believe in the mod pack overview they say that 7-8 gb of ram is enough so 16 should be fine.

The recommended ram amount is about 7-8gb, so you definitely have enough, just remember that you have to actually allocate the ram. Click on the "launcher options" button in the launcher app, and then click on the "Java Launcher" tab, and change the "memory" to your set amount.
