How to decrease lag:
-
Find out how many GB of ram that your computer has by pressing the Windows button and going to your settings. In the search bar, type the word "RAM", and select "View RAM info". You will be shown a page about your computer which contains the amount of installed RAM on your computer. In my case, this was 8GB of RAM.
-
Star up your Technic Launcher and look towards the top right of the window. Press the "Launcher Options". This will open an options window with three tabs: General settings, Java settings, and About. Click on Java settings and select your desired memory usage. In my case, i selected 3GB of RAM, which game me smooth gameplay, without using too much RAM.

Modify your settings in the graphics options menu of the game. The most effective settings to change that reduce lag are:
-Graphics: Fancy for better looks, but fast for a higher FPS.
-Smooth lighting: The smoother the lighting, the slower your game is.
-Particles: Decreased particles reduces the amount of lag, but compromises immersive particles.
-Render Distance: A longer render distance means that there are more blocks and entities that the game must process. set to medium or short for less lag.
-Performance: Setting to Max FPS will make your game run faster, but puts more stress on your computer.
-Advanced OpenGL: I set this to OFF, as this makes your game load only the blocks that you can see, so less blocks are loaded, but looking around makes them load and unload more frequently.
-Clouds: This decides wether or not clouds can be seen in the sky. I recomend setting this to OFF if you spend much time below ground or if you do not care for the clouds.
-Use VSync: Enabling VSync will set your maximum FPS to be the same as your screen's refresh rate. This will decrease FPS only if it is too high to be useful. I would recomend this as it reduces stress on your computer. If your FPS is any more than 60, then it is probably unneeded, and enabling VSync may help your computer run faster.
Did these steps help you increase your FPS? If so, I am glad that you can better enjoy your experience in LetsgetQuest. If not, please request help in the Comments section. Thank you.
