I made a server and while I can craft anything my friend cant even craft a workbench, is this supposed to happen?

Did you have world Guard installed. With this little Info i can only guessing.
Well I did what I usually do, Its just going to be between me and friends so i downloaded the server files and i just ran the basic stuff and set the recommended server properties.
How i trurn the window in the bottom right off? I hate it !

Youe mean the Waila/Walva window?
um if you meant the waila window down there... thats there to help you figure out the item your looking at as well as the mining requirements to pick it up (super freaking useful) it can be annoying... and tbh id prefer if it was top middle like it usually is (in other modpacks)
[bug] quest: "getting iron" - i have tons of magnetite, iron ore, but still its not detecting it

Difficult to say but hit the submit Button a few times helps some time.
i want to start my own server
could you tell me what the proper settings for server.properties (like level-type ... ) are ?
i would take a premade file too.

[bug]used up tools (tinkers)are not despawning when thrown away, not able to be destroyed by lava ...
[problem] having chunk-loading problems (decreasing every 10-20 sec to 0)that cause me lags, maybe optifine would solve that problem.

I'm having issues making a portal to the twilight forest. I see that you changed the requirements for the portal from diamond to crystal, but which crystal is that? Thanks!

Its a crystal made out of a Diamond and basic Circuits in the assembler. The right name i will post here later.
Quick and Dirty Portal generator
Approximately how much server RAM would I need to run this modpack for 2 people? I mean external server, not one of clients being server. Price goes up very fast with increasing RAM, so that's why I'm asking.
for 2 ppl? probably not much more than is needed for 1 person if any at all (servers use like 15-20 gigs which easily handles a couple hundred players)
hundred players?? with 15-20 gb ram. never. Maybe vanill mc but not GTNH. 10-20 possible if you have a fast cpu but not more.
so about 4 gb should be enough?
4GB not much for a server. Depends on the CPU but 6 or 8 GB would be better.

most likely ram issues, it loads up fine for me
some times you wait 10-15 mins the whole pack is started. 4GB ram is recommend for this pack.
is the spice of life food requirements really needing 24 different food types? or is it just eat a total of 24 foods to reset it?... if its different types i think thats overkill XD

I am not 100% sure but i am sure we change the default value and its not 24.
maybe for the servers... but im playing single player (as servers hate me atm). i can send a screenshot as proof if youd like
um so want one? or no?
ok so i sent a similar question to github and one of the guys said it should be that way :/...
I really enjoy this modpack so far but for the past few days now I have been having trouble getting the quest for Copper ore and Iron ore to complete, I couldn't find Copper at all but I did find a crap load of Magnetite but the quest still didn't complete so I ended up having to go into the quest editor and removing the other ore requirements to get the quest to complete (still haven't found copper).
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

In the next version Ore Quests (Tin , Copper and Iron) are optional quests. You need only ingots in the main Questline. The minig Guide is here :http://www.gtnewhorizons.com/wiki/m/41469370/page/Mining_Guide
Hey, I downloaded the pack and tried to connect to the Prospercraft 2 US server it has many mod rejections.

What mod rejection? A bit more details please.
There were too many mod rejections to count some were TheDalekMod, Ancient Warfare, and nevermine. I also have a problem with the tier .5 quests for the ore of iron, malachite, and copper when I press detect it doesn't work.
Maybe you connect to the wrong pack. Are you have a legal copy of mc. Some times Quests not working on them.
Is there a way to get/craft the portal to the farming world? or is this a feature for server admins to place somewhere? thx for reply

There is no recipe for this portal atm. You can get a void dim portal doing Quests but not the flat world portal. You can easylie add it with minetweaker if you want.
i would recommend adding archimedes ships, one of my all time favs
This mod make the modpack lags a lot. Long time ago we using this mod but we removed it because of massive lag spikes.
Is it just me or is this pack much slower and more laggy since the last update?

How much ram you are give Minecraft?
I realized it too. But I have the version 1.4.1.0 installed. I use 8GB on Client and 20GB on server. Maybe it's because I flied a lot trying to find maple trees without success^^.
Dreammaster Hi!....I found a bug. When I craft something with brick pattern(pattern for making bricks for smeltery and more..) For every craft i get another pattern wtf??? now i have 6-7 stacks of that pattern :D

Hi there, im having some real problems with getting water into my basic ore washing plant, how the flying fuck do you do it? Please for the love of god give a fast responce i'm about to throw my computer out the window. Side Note: where the hell are the upto date tutorials for this mod pack? All the ore washers I have found on the internet have a diffent interface and can accept buckets of water!

Fist of all you need to come down or better throw your pc out of the Window :)
You can pipe water into the Ore washer with gt Wodden pipes for example. You dont need a pump only a Railcraft Water tank.
If I had to Recommend a mod, I would say Immersive Engineering

We have Gregtech allready and Immersive Engineering not realy fit in this pack. I looked into this this mod allready.
;_; When I downloaded this modpack everything was fine. when I ran it I could no use technic launcher. is this a problem with the modpack, the launcher or my pc? and do you have a solution?
If you give me more infos about the issues i could maybe help.

Hey DreamMasterXXL, this modpack is the most challenging one I've ever played, Awesome! I was very suprised that you managed it to provide a good PFS amount with so many mods. I made for me and my Friends a modpack with nearly 200 mods and we got lagspikes of death. Is there any hint you could give me? or is this performance the well hidden secret of the modpacks own mods?

Yes my team and me working hard on this pack and no i dont have any hint for you about a good fps with so many mods. Ok we choose all this mods wisely to avoid lag spikes.
