I am having trouble getting this mudpack to start. It just loads for a second or two and then stops. No error message pops up. (I have 7GB of RAM allocated, that's not the problem)

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I changed a setting by accident, and it conflicted with another setting.

I was wondering, is it normal for animals to slowly die in this modpack? For example, I have a cow farm with reasonable space, but the cows die off over time. I'm running version 2.0.3.0, but I've seen it in prior versions too.
Yes animal hordes will die if they are to many on small places. We change the config a bit in 2.0.4.x to allow more animals.
The old setting would allow only 2 animals in the same spot before killing them off, and because killing animals sometimes cause an explosion, it can trigger a cascade. The limit has been raised to 6 to allow for CAFO. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concentrated_animal_feeding_operation

No wiki available yet. Put a Oreblock inside the Wand and when you walk over a vein with this ore the wand will change visual.

This was bugged and we have to remove recipes. There is another thing do the same. Was it from Random Blocks idk. Some void filter.
Will you update Fastcraft to 1.25? It is a fix for using it with optifine.
And is super slow. i tested newest optifine with fastcraft 1.2.5 and i get 10 fps before it was 60-100.
Should I update to the latest 2.0.4.1 or just stay with the recommended 2.0.2.7?
If I do update will reinstalling the pack via the modpack options erase any changes I made to the mod folder? For example, I added SEUS v11 shaders and some resource packs. I also made some ini tweaks.
2.0.4.1 is stable i hope but wait better for 2.0.4.2 i release to day. A few scripts had a bug and im fixing it rn.
Hi! Updated to 2.0.4.0 some days ago, and today i wanted to search where the titanium ore is located, but i don't have any gregtech ORE achievements, where do they gone?
they disabled. Click the ores ingame and it will show in which dim it is.

Did you try it without or with optifine.
adding optifine to the mod-list will result in a quick crash wenn initializing the launcher.

There is no recipes Gravel to Concrete in the Furnace. This is hard and grindy pack.
Why not add immersive engineering ?
Another huge Tech Mod beside GT make the pack to heavy and slow. Long time ago we testet it and decided not to add it.
I just installed version 2.0.4.0 on both my server computer and my client but it is giving me an error when I login fatally missing blocks/items, and when I look at the server console it says the client is missing bqshim, JourneyMapServer and Morpheus.
Also thank you for all the work you do on this modpack, this is the only modpack I ever play on now.
No this mosds are not missing they are server mods only. Are you sure scripts/configs are the same on the server and client?
Whenever I try to download this pack, it just shows an error. I've seen a few others post saying they get the same one. Is there a fix to this?

I have been loving the pack so far, but when I reached tier 0.5 Stone age theres no quests in the quest book. Does anyone know how to fix this by chance or am I simpily doing something wrong?
did you play on a server or sp? Which version do you using. It sounds if you quest file is corrupted.

Sure redownload it and maybe save your savgame folder after you progress a bit to have a backup.

Enjoying this pack considerably, one question though. I just reached tier 1, and while I'm able to create the steam machines, I'm not really sure how to use them. Do they replace the tinker's smelter or is there something different to it? Thanks.
Gregtech is a very huge and complex mod. The Steam Age machines from gregtech. Place the boiler and fill them with coal and water. It will produce steam and you can use the other machines too. There are a lot of Gregtech wikis out there. https://ftb.gamepedia.com/Steam_Machines_(GregTech_5)

The log not says much only you pause the game and then it stops later. 10 as view distance need a good computer try 8 or 6. What are the specs of your pc and how much ram you give mc ?
I gave her 16 out of 32. the core i7-3770 so the PC isnt the problem. The thing is. After pressing that button it thinks for couple of second and says "something shutdown" and closes the entiry minecraft.

In last modpack of NewHorizons searching in NEI work very-very slow,a few minitues...When i write id or name in searching board-nothing,NEI show recipes but no searching...can you help me?)
The first time it needs a few secs(depending on your computer specs) but not minuts.

We have much magic allready and the pack get super slow in loading allready. Not a good idea add such huge Mod.
Hello, I am hosting a server for my friends to play on and one of my friends can't seem to connect. It is weird because he isn't able to connect to any of the GT New Horizons server but he can connect to regular minecraft servers.
