Well Minecraft really isn't supposed to be made into more advanced games, so no, It wont be like the game...

The game is extremely slow and takes over 10 minutes to load a level. Is this normal?

Try turning up the amount of ram it can use by downloading the newest java and going into launcher settings and turn it up I personally give it 6gbs

Is there a stand-alone server version of this? I would like to play with some friends, but not on the "official" server (too much foul language and stealing/PVPing).

This is one of those extremely rare modpacks that actually could use Industrial Craft... plz add it... until then i guess i'll have to put it into my game manually
