Install The Pixelmon Mod

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (The Pixelmon Mod) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select The Pixelmon Mod from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

I found a glitch the cave spider still spawn in abandoned mine shafts even tho I have the vanilla mob spawning turn off it was even in the original pixlmon I thought you guys might want to know. ps. I have no Idea where to post bug reports so I decided to post it here.

Thanks for the report. It might be worth reposting this on http://www.pixelmonmod.com/tracker.php?p=2 , which is where they normally go. I've noticed this same thing before, though I'm not sure what the status on it is.

Hey would you guys consider implementing the already amazing pixelmon music composed by Chris Geddes into the game? It really pulled the whole "new world to explore" thing for me and many others who often refer it to nostalgic. I would absolutely love you guys if you re-add the pixelmon music back into the game.

The original music was great, but after the C&D we were requested to remove it from the mod. You can still listen to it via Soundcloud, but unfortunately that's the best it's going to get for now. :(

Forge hasn't updated to 1.13 yet, and will probably take a while to get there. That update is looking to break a lot of things as well, so we'll probably be on 1.12.2 for a while longer.

Currently playing survival singleplayer, and tried putting 9 firestone shards into a crafting bench. There is no crafting result, and doesn't craft anything.

Are you sure you're running Reforged? That's currently a known bug for one of the ripoff mods (which I won't name here), which uses stolen code and models from Reforged and the core games. I just tested it on Reforged but was able to do it without any issues.

Anyone know why the jar file for the server wont start? Tried using cmd/terminal and using things like jarfix. Nothing worked so far. I double click on the file and nothing happens.

Pixelmon, like most mods, is a Forge mod. Forge is what lets Minecraft actually load in mods, and you'll need to have that installed first. Check out this page for how to do that: https://pixelmonmod.com/wiki/index.php?title=Server_installation

(also, for a server, I'd recommend getting 6.3.2 patch2 from the Pixelmon Discord, link to the right -- it's pinned to #server-support, and fixes a few potential crashes)

I am attempting to catch Dialga and the Red Chains aren't activating the Timespace Alter. Can anyone explain how to fix this?

This is currently broken in 6.3.2, the upcoming 6.3.3 will fix it.

You can't craft them anymore (wiki needs some updating), but you can loot them from wild Electivires (rare drop) or from tier 2 (ultra ball) Pokéchests in the world.

It might be best for you to add this yourself, if you want it. Go to Modpack Options > Open, open the "mods" folder, and drop that mod into there. You may need to repeat this process with future pack updates.

will you be adding a primal dialga to this, from pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky? its my favorite game, and i'd LOVE to see him in it. make it like a mega evolution with a time gear that drops or something.

XPAND if im not wrong, there will be no new Pixelmon update anymore. Creatures Inc / The Pokemon Company forced them to stop sharing the mod and therefore also working on it, if they dont want to get any trouble.

Is this for everyone of just me? I can't hear the pixelmon soundtrack when I play the game. Is this something that wasnt implemented or is there a way I can fix it?

Hi.I have a simple question that i've been wondering.Now in Sun and Moon there is an update that makes the speed calculation after the mega evolution but not before.So once u click on mega your speed is increasing instantly.Not after a turn.Are u guys know about this and will it be changed with next update ?

If that's a gen 7 mechanic, it shoooould be getting included for the gen 7 update. Might be worth checking again when 7.0.0 is out!

Hello, I have a pixelmon server that crashes randomly when I'm connected to it, but not when anyone else connects to it. It happens when I'm moving around in the world, and it happens often enough that I can't realistically play because it forces the server to stop. That's a known issue, the first ice gym structure broke due to changes in 6.3.2. 6.3.3 should fix it, when that releases. For now, disabling gym generation in the pixelmon.hocon config seems to work. If you need any further help, the Discord is a good place to ask -- I'd recommend joining that anyways, as there's a patch (for some other issues) in #server-support that's not on the site yet.

Hi, I am Korean and I want to open a Pixel server in Korea. So I translated it first, but I stayed up all night for four days and finished it alone. Translation is applied on single. Now that we're playing multi-server, the names of Pokemon on the left side of the screen and the moves name in battle don't work. I don't know what the problem is. Can you help me?

I no longer have the possibility to use the custom texture functionnality on the npc editor, tried to clear any mods which can alter it's use, cleared my minecraft folder and reinstalling only the pixelmon mod. Still remain.. I don't know if there was some case where this bug happens but i need help

Is there a reason certain pokemon won't spawn like Onix or foongus i been sitting in Mesa and extreme hills for several days now for Onix and sitting in mushroom island for foongus also for several days but still no luck cant tell if I'm unlucky or they just don't spawn for some reason

Foongus may be broken, as the "nearby blocks" check it relies on seems to have died at some point in the last few updates. The team is aware, I believe. Looking at Onix' file, that one should spawn normally. Does /checkspawns show it? It's also a Rock Smash (external move) spawn now, so that might be worth trying.

On my local server with forge 2705, spongeforge beta 3206, pixelmon 6.3.2 checkspawns command not working. On singleplayer it works but on server it gives NumberFormatException. Can you help me? This is a known issue, though I am not sure on the current status or why it's only breaking on certain setups. Should be fixed in 6.3.3 with a bit of luck.

Make sure people don't have the permission. If you're using something like LuckPerms, type in "pixelmon." and hit TAB to complete it to see which permission you need to unset.

Hi! I’m trying to make NPC’s not spawn in my world, is there a way to do this? I’ve already tried to allow external json files for pixelmon in the config file, and edited these so that the rarity for all npc’s = 0. I’ve also tried to set max number of npc’s in the hocon to 0. I though that would solve it, but trainers are still spawning in my world. Am I doing something wrong, or is there another way to achieve this?

I'm not sure if this still works, but you used to be able to enable external JSONs and then configure it so it writes to another folder. After that, you could go to this folder and simply delete the files you did not want to use. From what I remember, it only tries to repopulate the default folder, so stuff in other folders should be gone entirely when removed from disk. Let me know if this still works!
