In regards to rwby weapon parts being removed:
Everything you could get from them can still be obtained. Scrap can be bought, and the weapons are available at npc shops. This was done to slow progression a bit, once you get a rwby weapon its extremely easy to just dominate the game.
Most of the time, players will only use the craftable weapons because they're very easy to get, completely ignore the other rwby weapons. Now the only way to get these weapons is the same as all rwby weapons, to buy them. Rwby armor is easier to buy then rwby weapons, and i think this is good, it gives you more defence first, offence second. Though the focus here is for bounties, this is not the only way to get lien, grimm still drop grimm amalgam, which can be traded for lien.

That is a lot of info but important things to note are:
-These do not replace their drops, these are just added on top of their normal drops
-Nether mobs still spawn and function as normal, since grimm don't spawn in the nether.
As a result, spawn weights have been tweaked.

Rwbym Grimm Spawn Rate Changes
-Tiny Deathstalker: From 20 to 4
-Arachne: From 5 to 4

Other Changes
-Yang's semblance will now drain all/the rest of your aura, as a consequence. You get strength 4 at will, but are now vulnerable.
Naturally gaining strength from taking damage hasn't been touched though.
-Lowered dust ore explosion chance from 20 to 15.
-Lowered rwby biome spawn rate from 20 to 8. (Mostly due to dark crystal biome, and how easy they make getting gear.)
-Decreased ragora semblance summon particles from 100 to 25 (Lag reasons.)
-Changed harriet semblance drain from 0.05 to 0.1
-Attempted to remove armor piercing from tinkers construct rapiers. (Unsure if its actually gone, but this is mainly because of balance, rapiers are already extremely fast)
