Hey guys, I'm sorry to keep a lot of you hanging. I know it's been a while, it's been a very rough road for the past couple of months... But that's a different topic entirely. The main point is that I am back and modpack dev and updates will continue as normal. Sorry to keep ya'll waiting, and thank you so much if you're still here.
anyone have a server for this modpack?
forbidden magic and witchery along with and nei mods would be good additions

Some things have come up in the family and so this update has been pushed out to at least tomorrow. I almost have it completed, but other priorities have taken... well, priority. I will try my best for tomorrow, I just need to resolve a conflict and fix some configuration files., I'll do my best. Sorry guys.
so whats coming next more mod updates or what?

More mod updates and some more planned additions. Just taking a few day break after all the trouble. Took me about a week and a half to get it going, then the link issues, and I'm working AND tutoring... Yeah, I needed a day or two off lol, but I'm back, development will continue, in fact a micro update tomorrow for more mods to be added that I really like and are pretty popular.
alright so the pack is great the one thing that doesn't seem to work at least from my experience is weather2 it is what causes all my lag from what ive seen

how much do you have allocated to the pack?
i gave mine 6 gb, cuz she's a whore :P
RAM is the number one decider of lag in Minecraft. And the Weather Mod is REALLY RAM heavy lol, I personally can only run it at medium mod settings. I only have 3 GB to go buy sadly, but yeah.
Lol Chiron, I wish my computer was a whore. Wait... what did I just say?....
i personally prefer tmi but i havent been having any of the issues you mentioned

however im getting some pretty sick village gens, like some of the houses on the floating islands, with some dungeons and alters intermixed
Yeah, the generation can get wacky at times, especially with biomes 'o' plenty. Idk, I consider it part of the chaos lol there isn't anything I can do about it either. Maybe the config files? Idk, but I like it.
also you need baubles for a lot of the mods your using like the wings of alfhein

Baubles is installed, but I'm not seeing the button either. I'll work on it.
Hm, I just loaded the game 10 times in a row and had the baubles menu button every time. Idk what might cause it to disappear, but I would suggest trying to reload your save, and if that doesn't work, reload the game.
when I play the game the cheat mode doesn't seem to work and using the minecraft creative is super laggy anyone else with this problem?

This pack is very RAM dependant. When in creative mode, the game pre-loads all available blocks and loads special properties and such, so it will be little more laggy. I experience this a little for a couple minutes while things are still loading, but it clears up. I suggest pausing the game then going into the weather menu at the top of the screen and switching the three options that pop up from high to medium. That also helps me a lot.
As for the cheat mode, there's two ways to activate it, both methods work for me with this pack as I tested it before I wrote this post. You can either start your game in creative, then use the NEI menu buttons at the top left to switch to whatever mode you want, or click the options button in the lower left of the inventory menu with NEI enabled, then go to the top right and click global, then go to inventory, and press the top button until it says cheat mode.

one really important thing this is missing is inventory tweaks or whatever mod lets you shift things out of your hotbar it feels foreign without it

Thanks, it's working so far, so long as copy.com doesn't lock the file.
Current download conversion: File size to bandwidth ratio allows for about 48 dl's per 24 hours. Current daily average: 21
So, I will fix the dupe problem, thanks for letting me know, I noticed I had that problem too when I tested it on vanilla launcher. Also, there is a problem with evil craft that I resolved by getting a new version. So all that to say, a new update is being pushed later. Praying to whatever god there may be that the update doesn't break :( However, if you'd rather not wait, you can follow these simple steps, will only take a few minutes.
The update may take a while to push, sense it only makes sense to include some suggestions sense I'm updating.

1. Go to %appdata%/roaming/.technic/modpacks/serenity-chaos/mods/
2. Go into "1.7.10" folder and delete "1.7.10_bspkrsCore-universal-6.15". Notice it is the file WITHOUT brackets.
3. back out to the "mods" folder, then open your launcher of choice.
4. Copy and paste this into your URL: http://addons-origin.cursecdn.com/files/2249/269/EvilCraft-1.7.10-0.8.8.jar
5. Drag and place or however you prefer to move/copy files and place that version of evil craft into your "mods" folder.
6. Delete the "EvilCraft-Mod-1.7.10.jar". Do not delete "EvilCraft-1.7.10-0.8.8.jar".
7. Close all windows, launch the launcher, and it should all work now.

Wow, that's a mess. I wish technic had manual formatting...
Okay, sorry I was gone for so long. Had to talk to support for copy.com. So I see that some were able to dl, that's good. The major problem is that there was a bit of a misunderstanding. When I signed up for copy.com it was advertised as being unlimited for bandwidth. But, alas, it is not. It caps at 50GB now. And the file was corrupted. AND the compression was wrong. Lots of troubles, but seems I've got them sorted out now. As for the host, if anyone knows a good reliable host that is free and has no data transfer cap, please let me know. It doesn't have to be mainstream, just trustworthy. Thanks in advance for anyone who has ideas for that. I have another thought, but I'm posing a new post for that.
gryph have you gotten rid of the duplicates?

There's still one current duplicate, but I will resolve that in this afternoons update. Apparently renaming core files is a bad idea lol
i managed to get it downloaded, and when i loaded it it said forge has found a duplicate file. i forgot what it said it was, but it didnt even give me a button i had to close the game.

Thanks for the info, I have an update being pushed later today that will resolve this. In the mean time, my most recent post in this discussion tab has steps to fix it on your own if you don't want to wait, but the new update will have new mods anyways, so yeah.
would it be possible to have the 1.1 version of serenity and chaos, since update hasnt been fixed yet, and i corrupted my own version...

When I tried to use the older version, I would get the same error. I seems to be fixed for now, among a couple issues with the pack itself, it seems the major issue was the host. I need to get a new one, seems copy.com isnt unlimited afterall, just has a very high cap. I was lied to :( But yeah, so 1.2 works now, I'm pushing 1.2b later today as soon as I'm done replying to everyone and gathering requests.
