General Information about this Modpack:
In this modpack, I've collected pretty much all the best parts of Tekkit and the best parts from Hexxit. I've slimmed down some of the purely aesthetic parts of Hexxit whilst retaining important functional mods. This creates an amazing world packed full of things to do: machines, magic, computing, exploration, farming, adventure, and questing!
Make sure to look below for the Major and Minor content mods to get a picture of what is to come!
I've slightly reworked how ProjectE works by extending the time it takes to get its end game. All EMC values have been multiplied by 10. (Energy Collectors are still normal.) This will hopefully provide a more full experience allowing players to explore more of the other mods. Reworking ProjectE however will not detract from that experience at all, but enhance it.
Todo:
- Test new EMC values for exploits/"appropriate exploits" (Macerated blaze rods yeild 5 blaze powder. 5 blaze powder = 1 and 1/20th of a blaze rod. This type of thing encourages exploring Industrial Craft 2. I'm open to detailed and balanced suggestions.)
- Create some recipes for things that don't have them such as mob eggs, mob spawners, and other things as they become apparent.
Player Information:
You will need to allocate more ram in the technic launcher in order to run this modpack, by first installing Java 64bit and then going into Technic Launcher Options>Java Settings>Memory.
Keyboard Layout. Click either Qwerty or Dvorak to see the detailed list.
Also, no one cares about the Caps Lock button. You should get SharpKeys and change Caps Lock to "" ;)
I've included an options file specifically for the keybindings of dvorak. It is located at "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\tekkhex\options for dvorak.txt." Delete "options.txt" and rename "options for dvorak.txt" to "options.txt."
F.A.Q
- Q: How do I get ores for individual mods?!?
- A: Take a look at Ore Dictionary Converter in the Minor Content Mods section to convert to what you need.
Server Administrator Information:
- I'm a big fan of grief prevention rather than grief cleanup which I'm sure most of you can approve of. Direct your players to the first part of the video linked below for the FTBUtilities mod under Quality of Life Mods. This is a fantastic way of allowing players to set up their own bases.
- More info to come later about permissions and cheat protection.
Worlds To Explore:
- Vanilla minecraft worlds, but packed with more ores, trees, liquids, dungeons, mobs with variation, bosses, etc. Lots of mods contribute to making the vanilla world absolutely amazing to adventure in.
- The Deep Dark provided by Extra Utilites. Fantastic place to set up an ender quarry. Video
- The Twilight Forest provided by... The Twilight Forest. A full world to adventure in. Additional mobs and bosses.
