they can't, from what i understand,the mod which was forge before forge stopped getting updated,so sorry about that.

how do I play this modpack?
go to modpacks tab and type in "Tekkit Classic* (without the 2 star/ asterisks) and download the one that has the original logo
Why is there no more older Tekkit versions on? I like being able to play on the older Minecraft versions and being able to play like people in older videos(YOGSCAST Duncan). Example: Tekkit Classic 2.0 .

usually there would be a gear right next to the modpack which would be the options. in the options, you can change the update, force update, or even keap the game from updating. Now you can play like YOGSCAST Duncan or maybe even sips
So I was wondering if anyone could help me out trying to get this pack working. My friend is having an issue where when he launches the game and goes to the game console, it stays stuck at the white screen before it changes to where "Mojang" is displayed. We have tried everything from simple deleting everything and re-downloading to downloading a previous version of java (Java 7), downloading 64 bit java because he had a 32 bit java but was able to have 64. We also tried to allocate more ram to the game (5GB) but it STILL would not work. I really want to get this to work but I don't know what else to try. Thanks ahead of time if anyone can help us out!

I saw this one version that some youtubers were playing, and it was updated though. What version is that?? It wasn't minecraft 1.2.5...
To everyone that wana play but its not in the launcher, type in the cherche bar ''Tekkit'' with out the '' and it should be there. Now you just nide to download it. Hope this was helpfull ^^

i cant find it to
open the launcher, go on modpacks and search tekkit classic :) it's very easy

There is one thing I wish this pack, and Tekkit Lite, would be able to have multiplayer properties. Many of us like to play together in the same room and/or house. No one wants to download a server to play together, many people don't know how to set a server up, or it is far too complicated to handle. With LAN, which Tekkit does not have, allows people to play on the same local network. And I personally would love to play with my brother.
